About the Author Professor Ellen A. Benowitz has been employed at Mercer County Community College since 1972. In addition to providing instruction in the areas of accounting, business organization, business communications and management, she has also served in several administrative positions. Professor Benowitz is also the New Jersey State Chairman for Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda and serves as member of the national board of directors.

I have a background in Quality and Project Management, but had limited knowlege of HR and motivational theories. I bought this book the week before, and passed the CLEP yesterday with a 76 out of a possible 80. This is literally the only book you'll need to pass the exam, and you can read it in a day or so. Spend special attention to theories and pioneers of management.

I sat down with this book for four hours, two days before taking the management CLEP. I read it once through, went to the CLEP, and passed with a comfortable margin to spare. Of course, it's not the most difficult test in the world, but this book lays out a lot of specifics that you have to "know," and can't just lie your way through. It is well written and reads clearly. Of course, it's kind of like taking an overview class in college. You're bored, unsatisfied, and have more questions than answers, but it was enough to get me through the test with basic knowledge of management principals.

This book contains all that you need to know for the CLEP Principles of Management test. If you study it a little bit, you should easily pass. I scored a 76, which is well above the ACE passing score.
