Principles of Pharmacoloy,
By AK "AK" (Matawan, NJ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Principles of Pharmacology Package (Paperback)
This book is fantastic if you have the time to learn the material. Each chapter begins by explaining the underlying physiology that is associated with the drugs in the chapter. The chapters are a fast read (relatively) than most other books so it is worth it to spend time on it if you are need a more detailed understanding. I am a med student and the notes that I was provided with do not explain enough the underlying mechanisms but this book fills the gaps. Overall, a great buy.

Not just a drug book,

This review is from: Principles of Pharmacology Package (Paperback)
I bought the workbook and the text book as I am a teacher as well as a clinician. This book explains the chemical actions of the medications. It assists the reader to link the pathophysiology with the drugs mode of action. I love it. My post graduate nursing students say great, but complex. Its not a light read and if all you want to do is look up a drug dont bother. This is a pharmacology book that is more than a drug dictionary.
