This review is from: Principles of Plasma Physics (Paperback)
Krall and Trivelpiece's book, "Principles of Plasma Physics" provides a detailed discussion of some advanced topics in plasma physics and plasma transport theory. I will first say that I would not recommend this book for beginners. I would recommend it for any physicist interested in studying wave phenomena and transport due to wave-particle interactions. In addition to the multiple useful discussions included in the book, the authors include useful references to other sources of information. They cite relevant review and research papers related to each topic at the end of each chapter. They use physical and phenomenological explanations to help the reader understand some of the more complicated mathematical discussions. In summary, I think this is a highly useful and helpful book for a graduate student or researcher studying wave phenomena in plasmas. |
