5.0 out of 5 stars You cannot live life without it.
This book forms a fitting conclusion to a trilogy, with works like Understanding your Potential, and Discovering your Purpose, all previously written by the author.

2.0 out of 5 stars Title should be "prayer for Vision"
After reading 5 reviews with 5-stars I had high hopes from this book but unfortunately it came out very poor as per my perception. The author of this book has written "power of prayer" and he didn't come out of that mind-set. He wrote down this book totally from spiritual angel. I am not against having spirituality up to some decent proportion but comm'on you don't...

This book forms a fitting conclusion to a trilogy, with works like Understanding your Potential, and Discovering your Purpose, all previously written by the author.
In his usual instruction-type manner, Dr Myles proceeds to give the reader understanding of vision, and describes the dissastorous effects of a life without one.

Part One of the book focuses on defining vision, and detailing its source.

Part Two offers twleve principles for fulfilling your personal vision. Here are a few:

Principle 1: Be directed by a clear Vision
Principle 3: Develop a concrete plan for your vision
Principle 5: Develop the faith of vision
Principle 12: Stay connected to the source of the vision

Part Three discusses the power of vision and outlines how to write your personal vision

This work is also filled with power-packed quotes like:

'The most frustrated person in the world is someone who has a dream but does not know how to bring it to pass'

'It is when you decide that you are going to find something that is truly yours that you will find your gift, fulfill your vision, and be remembered by others'

'A clear vision gives us a passion that keeps us continually moving forward in life'

'God's way of getting us to where we are to go is often different from what we expect'

As with all his works Dr Myles continues to offer the reader new insight that if applied can change your life and impact the people you come in contact with.

Keep up the good work sir.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best, June 3, 2005
I had to respond after I read that unfair comment from the person who only gave this book 2 stars. I will go on the record and say that this is THE BEST book written concerning vision and following your heart's dreams. Everyone here is looking for fulfillment and purpose in life (those that say they are not, are lying), and the only way to achieve that is by following the desires that God has placed in your heart. Everything is created by God and it will take God and only God to show you where your destiny lies. Dr. Myles Munroe did a wonderful job in explaining how these principles work and if you follow them, they will change your life forever. So to everyone who read that "2-Star" review, please ignore it and purchase the book. You will not regret it.

Dr. Myles Munroe has done it again. Here is a book that I highly recommend for anyone who is not sure what or where they are in life. Vision is as vital as the air you breathe. Dr. Munroe delivers a message of principles based on the Word of God, and offers guidance on how to accomplish and reach your purpose in life. With wisdom he explains the difference between vision, purpose and goals. This book is a definate eye opener, and a total thumbs up for Munroe!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars WITHOUT VISION YOU WILL PERISH!, March 5, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I just shared with my wife Karen the other day after the question was asked what I thought about Dr. Munroe's book. I read an average of one book a week and in all my years of reading all kinds of Christian and secular material on vision this is the most life impacting book I have ever set my hands on! If you have lost your vision, never had a vision, want to have a vision this is a must read! As the Word of God states that without vision people will perish I say a hearty "Amen" to that! Knowing how vision begins and is sustained will help you immensely in not falling into the pits and pratfalls so many indiviudals and ministries have found themselves in. Was so encouraging to our ministry and to what the Father has called us to. We believe you will be forever changed for the ordinary by this life impacting book. Buy it, read it, heed it, and pass it on!

5.0 out of 5 stars Your thinking will not be the same, April 13, 2005
This book started out explaining all the questions I had about Why I am here? What is my purpose? Dr. Munroe then goes into Godly prinicples on where vision comes from and how to achieve vision. This book changed my way of thinking, knowing that my life is not about me but its for helping others. This book is an easy read and HIGHLY recommended! Thanks, Dr. Munroe, for your God given gift to encourage and lead others to move into purpose.

5.0 out of 5 stars A spiritually motivational booster shot!, November 9, 2006

Myles Munroe has done it again! In his own uniquely simplistic way of informing people who are searching, of the principles in scripture which help us to move forward in the purpose that God has given each of us. Munroe shows us how to identify the talents that God has given us and to utilize them to our fullest potential. This book along with the study guide helps the reader to remain on track in regard to prioritizing what is really important in life. The fulfillment of our individual purpose for being. It's not about competition, it's about purpose!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, October 10, 2006
I had the opportunity of taking a class on this book. The book is awesome. It made me think seriously on somethings I wanted to do in my life. One statement in this book was, "Stop procrastinating and hoping you will eventually get somewhere in life. Decide whether you're going to get a curse or a blessing." Revelation 3:15-16

I decided I would rather have a blessing and began to focus more towards my purpose in life. Knowing that God is my source and He would never give me a vision or assignment that I am not equipped for.

I also liked the Chapter Principles at the end of each chapter (ie. "If you don't have a plan, God doesn't have anything specific to direct you in.").
