About the Author

Victor Considerant was a leading utopian socialist in France in the first half of the 19th century whose convictions led him to found utopian societies in the United States. Joan Roelofs is a professor emerita of political science at Keene State College. She is the author of Greening Cities: Building Just and Sustainable Communities and Foundations and Public Policy: The Mask of Pluralism. She lives in Keene, New Hampshire.
