This review is from: Principles of Traveling Wave Tubes (Artech House Radar Library) (Hardcover)
Good match for the average engineering reader. Gentle buildup of the theory. Chapters on every part of the tube and key aspects of their technology (vacuum, cathodes and high voltage). Slightly "cookbook" but this gives it lots of examples
