After hearing that Print Shop 22 was not compatible with Windows Vista, I waited and recently purchased Print Shop 23 Deluxe. Pay attention to the operating system requirements. You must have either Windows XP SP3 or Windows Vista SP1. The installation discs are DVD-ROMs, NOT CDs, so you must have a DVD drive.

Unlike previous user reports of long delivery times, damaged discs and corrupt installs, my package arrived from Amazon in two days and included two shiny unblemished discs and a half inch thick user manual.

The setup was painless and took just under 25 minutes for a complete installation including registration and a short optional survey. A full install including artwork stored on the hard drive will take up close to 8GB.

The program launched flawlessly right after installation (no Restart required) and the features worked just fine. It will take several seconds for Print Shop to initialize (as did prior versions) but a little patience will be rewarded.

Print Shop has always been a great application and this new version follows that tradition!

I am so sad to give Print Shop Deluxe 23 a rating of only "3". I have used this program since it was a "6" and no matter what other print programs I've purchased this has always been the best. But, when I open the graphics there are many to choose from, but there are many more not accessible. Under those graphics it says "available online". First off I've paid for the program, full suggested retail price. Well, apparently that's a sin. I should have downloaded it. No one will talk to me. Broderbund will not acknowledge Deluxe 23 and said I should go to Encore. I waited 34 minutes on their customer service only to be told the same thing. I tried to log onto Riverdeep, but another company kept coming up. I cannot get the extra graphics "available online" for the life of me. I've spent literally hours trying to make this work. I'm not super computer smart, but I've been around the block a little. So I can only give my favorite program a "3" and hope that you have an easier time than I.

Purchased product through Amazon without problem. Tried loading Print Shop 23 on my HP Vista 64 bit system with 6 GB RAM and 500 GB Hard Drive. Couldn't do it as I kept getting error messages. Tried calling Encore per instruction booklet. Electronic message for Print Shop 23 said to go on line for tech support. Encore's web site indicates that most of their products are not approved for 64 bit Windows XP or Vista systems unless it specifies 64 bit on the box. Print Shop 23 just indicates Windows XP and Vista with no bit amount specified. Seems it would save everyone trouble if they specified bit amount on the outside of the box or in their specs. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

I bought the new Print Shop and it's incredibly easy to use. It comes on two DVDs with a user manual to help you figure out how to get started. There are TONS of images and templates - so many you can always find something that works. I made the most adorable postcard announcements for my daughter Winnie. I can't wait to get started on stuff for the holidays. I give Print Shop 23 two thumbs up and 5 stars!

I bought this 'new' Vista compatible version after version 22 deluxe stopped working last week. It had worked fine for over a year on Vista. Then I started getting runtime errors. I downloaded everything Microsoft and Broderbund recommended to "fix" the problem. I tried contacting Broderbund and all I got was a no-reply email telling me to go to their site for patches! Broderbund customer service links are useless, they all lead back to installing patches. The only way I got the automated email link was saying I bought the software out of the country! I was running this program with NO PROBLEMS on a Sony Vaio, 3.20MHZ, 2GB ram... so there was never any problems before.

According to Broderbund's ad, this version 23 is compatible with VISTA. I installed it and got the same errors! It recommended going to their site to download a patch! Guess what, there is no patch for version 23! This USED to be the best software of it's kind available for a great price. Now it and their customer service are not worth buying, sad to say.

It would be great if they put up WORKING links to REAL solutions.

I purchased this product because I needed a simple desktop publishing application that would allow me to export fliers and brochures to pdf format. I was a printshop user back in the Apple II days and this was the first software that came to mind.

I am running this on the 64 bit version of Windows Vista Home Premium. It seems to fit my needs perfectly. It's still a great piece of software that offers far more print projects than any one person is bound to ever use.

I love the fact that a fairly thorough, nearly 300 page User's Manual is provided in actual book format. I am tired of software developers who rely on their Help menus and pdf manuals to guide their users. It was refreshing to find a real manual in the box.

Unfortunately, I cannot give this software a higher rating because it did not work perfectly out of the box. I had to contact customer support in order to get the pdf functionality to work. Apparently, on Windows Vista x64, the printshop 23 fails to add a printer port that the pdf converter needs. Customer support sent me a step by step guide that made adding this port easy, but I shouldn't have to wait for a response from customer support in order to get basic functionality to work.

I have gone through several versions of The Print Shop in the eight years that I have been using it and wasn't sure I needed to upgrade again. I'm so glad that I did. The new graphics files and more and better templates are a big improvement. Best of all, this version has much improved file export options so that I can easily send or use my output in various ways. I don't believe there is a better design program available at this modest price.

I have owned Print Shop since they were first produced. I upgrade every two to three years and this edition has made many changes that improve the functionability of the product. There are more templates and graphics than ever and the ability to edit photos gets better with time. It is a large program so need plenty of memory and ram to run it smoothly on your computer but to me it is well worth it.

At half off I'm pleased with it. It installed easily and works properly so far. It has some beautiful graphics, and ease of use.

I got this newest version because my older one wouldn't work on my new computer/Windows Vista. I'm only giving it a 4 because so many of the graphics are online, and it's a pain to have to save them to the hard drive individually; they should have them on the DVD to be added to the computer all at once, and only the newer ones online that weren't available before the software was made, but organized and available to download quickly to the program. I hate wasting my time with tedious tasks.

Also, having used various Print Shop Deluxe versions over the years, I can't help but wonder why they don't add more editing tools, shapes, panels, etc. - it's the same old program changed very little over the years. What do the software designers do all year?!

Installed the program and first run got a pop-up telling me that my machine was using large fonts and that items wouldn't display properly unless I changed to small fonts and rebooted my machine. I have a vision problem and have to use large fonts. Unfortunately, I had to send the program back.
