Have project idea, will travel with Broderbund's PrintMaster Platinum 15 DVD. This package covers all bases with a variety of options: you'll be set for calendars, newsletters, cards, invitations, crafts, and more.

One of the innovative facets of this package is the "party sets" option. If you have an upcoming event, PrintMaster Platinum is ideal for matching your place cards, menus, vase covers, and invitations (and whatever other paper goods you need!). Overall, the vast selection of pre-made projects and artwork impressed us. Note that much of the promised content (245,000+ images and 15,500+ project templates) is only available online.

Just as in many of its other packages, Broderbund goes to great lengths to make printing your project easy. An easy-to-follow printer configuration wizard customizes to your printer, and on-screen and on-paper instructions make it easy to handle even complicated double-sided jobs. (However, because the program does print an extra sheet for directions on top of the stack, we did end up losing a few sheets of premium paper to directions sheets.) We were a bit annoyed with the program's inflexibility to adjust paper source size to 4" x 6" for photo postcards.

Another powerful tool within the package is the photo workshop. Now you can correct basic flaws, crop in, add fun cut-out shapes, and otherwise improve your photos right within PrintMaster. The interface in both the photo workshop and the rest of PrintMaster is clean, clear, and easy to follow (even if you don't immediately view the "Getting Started" video).

Overall, PrintMaster Platinum is a well thought out program that is easy to get into for just the occasional use, and can really pull its weight for more avid use. Regular users will appreciate its easy email sharing capabilities as well as the "Save as PDF" function.--Emilie Herbst

Wouldn't install, Print Master or 3D. In fact 3D registered me but did not complete the installation and when I e-mailed Broderbund about this problem, I got no response what so ever. Tried to return the junk software and store wouldn't take it back.

I have had two previous Printmaster programs but this one, especially being on DVD, is a dream. Acccess to and download of two free card program editions from the Broderbund site has been a most pleasant experience. This version is so much more in content than the other two I have used.
