Great ideas -- great results,
By
This review is from: Printing (Step-by-Step Children's Crafts) (Paperback)
This book offers great ideas for projects that your child can do with minimal help from Mom. Depending on the craft you choose, you may need to spend money on materials (ink pads, fabric paint, self-adhesive foam... But potatoes and paint and card stock -- we have that stuff, and we made quite a few interesting projects while we were studying Matisse. The projects in this book go nicely with the Matisse biography "Drawing with Scissors" Henri Matisse: Drawing with Scissors (Smart About Art). Lots of tie-ins for cultural units -- there are Aztec style birthday cards and Egyptian style dominoes to be created, Chinese pots and tile mosaics, batik-style paisleys and cave-art style printed crafts. Awesome instructions -- clear, easy to follow, and illustrated with photographs. |
