Music without verve. I expected more. There is not the final song of the last episode of season three. I recommend the CD 1 with the music first and second season: great!

This review is from: Prison Break: Seasons 3 & 4 (Audio CD)
This is season three and four's new tracks and as you would expect from Ramin djawadi it's full of moody and sometimes dark music with lots of guitars and eastern influence ( I really liked the scores from IRONMAN and Mr. BROOKS ) and if you saw seasons 3 & 4 you know that they have a lot of new tracks they are all in this cd, it's like a continuation to the first cd.

THE BEAUTIFUL HAUNTING SPANISH VOICE THAT YOU'LL NEVER HEAR,
By Rock & Roll Conservative (Philadelphia, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Prison Break: Seasons 3 & 4 (Audio CD)
There should be some reward for enduring a whole season of this horribly written show, much less three. But alas there buried within the improbable scenarions and cheesy dialouge, the producers have decided to honor the viewers diligence and toloernce of mediocre art. Since the show has mired itself in Panama, there is a lot of Spanish flair to the soundtrack. There are three that I can recall and maybe another I have forgotten. The first is a Spanish version of ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER, the BOB DYLAN penned JIMI HENDRIX performed classic. Its a brillant use of song and setting and a great version to boot. I jump off the couch at the use of intellectual creativity, none the wiser that the best was yet to come. Again an opening shot of the prison, and again another Spanish cover. This time its DON'T FEAR THE REAPER by BLUE OYSTER CULT. Another great version. As this prime time soap opera comes to an end I keep my eyes peeled to the credits to find the artists so I can download them. But the name of the group is not there. The only highlight of this muck and I can't find the name of the artist. Very frustrating. This train wreck of a story comes to a close and the producers figure you've endured enough and present you with a beautiful gem for your hard labor. Like a meal you've struggled to keep down languishing through each bite, the closing scene is a dessert prepared by a five star chef...sort of. For what its worth the story closes with no resolve to any of the five plot lines. But as they leave you unfufilled with the story, the camera pans up and out to a Spanish acapella version of ROY ORBINSON's CRYING, sung in the most beautiful, haunting female voice. Myself, I have never cared for this song but I would follow this voice to Panama if she asked me to. This song drips with beauty, passion, and anguish, and I don't even understand what she's singing! As you can probably guess, the "sort-of" part of this dessert is that there is no mention of this amazing voice in the credits! No matter, I say to myself, I'll just check Amazon for the soundtrack. No self respecting producer would leave such an breathtakng piece of art (such as this song is) off their soundtrack. And I would be wrong. None of the Spanish cover songs that I have mentioned here appear on the soundtrack to this drivel. In this age of Obama transparency, I must confess I have not listened to this cd. This review is stricitly based on the omission of these amazing songs. I turn to you the vast informed public for help on two matters. First, could somebody please tell me who these artists are that performed these songs (especially the female voice), and second could somebody please go over to EBAY and purchase my box set of this season so I can buy more cds.
