awesome show. I worked at angola (louisiana state penetintiary) for my training before going to work at hunt correctional center for several years and and angola is a huge very interesting place and I also know a couple people serving life at this institution 1 of them is justin granier, look him up on facebook n u can see video and read his testimony n read his petition and find out much more about the hospice program n many more programs and inner workings of angola. justin granier was given a life sentence for a crime he did not commit and this is the honest truth not like everybody else in prison that swears they are innocent. There is a documentary called the farm that is about angola n I recommend you should watch and there is also a movie called serving life u can get on youtube or netflix and it is about my friend that I mentioned and a hospice program at angola where the inmates care for the terminal inmates and really do things that show that they have really changed honestly because the things they do as far as bathing other men and building coffins for them and cleaning if they use tha bathroom on themselved and clean their beds and transport them and carry them after they have passed away and personally i feel that takes a special kind of person to care for someone for so long and get to know them and watch them die right before your eyes and personally i dont know that many people in society as civilians that could not do that, actually im not sure i know anybody out here that could or even would do this.

The thing I like about this is the prisoners are always kept busy with something to do. It's better than just sitting in the cell doing nothing. It's good that the warden makes them work hard and be productive while doing their time.

This series is one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. It makes both the prisoners and staff appear sympathetic and human and very interesting. The stories about people's lives, against the background of flood, rodeo, and prison life, are most absorbing.
