Product Description

This luxuriously soft and supple microfiber is the newest generation in allergen barriers. Air and perspiration porous, Pristine Complete provides a new level of comfort. Easily washable. 25 year guarantee. Microfiber fabrics are new high-tech fabrics made of fibers so thin and yarns so tightly woven that there is no space between the weave of the yarns large enough to allow the passage of allergens. Unlike vinyl encasings, they are truly breathable, that is, both air and water vapor can pass freely through the fabric, even though allergen cannot. They are therefore extremely comfortable, actually imperceptible in use. Microscope photos have shown that many of the competitive products are much less tightly woven than the Pristine Complete fabric. In many cases, the pores in those fabrics are more than large enough to allow the passage of allergens. This is not the case with Pristine Complete - the pores in this fabric are small enough to block common household allergens.

Upon live phone inquiry during ordering, Allergy Be Gone, assured me that all three items were "in stock" justifying my selection of expensive "next day air" delivery. The promised emailed invoice never came nor did the product. Five days after ordering, two unanswered and unreturned phone calls (after leaving name and number as instructed) and still NO product; my
now fourth phone call connected me to a live person. I was assured "snow" interrupted business but ALL product was shipping that same day with guaranteed receipt for the next day and offered a "partial" shipping credit.

The following day, I received ONLY ONE item (of three) WHICH was NOT the actual product I researched hence ordered BUT a non authorized, non equal "substitution". My phone call, now my fifth, originally for clarification turned into "attempted resolution". An annoyed haughty female couldn't understand why I wasn't elated with an "upgraded" substitution since the original was indefinitely back ordered as now suddenly the other two ordered products were also. Attempts at discussing, "UN EQUAL" substitution (addition of anti-microbial chemicals, not made in U.S.A., etc.), no courtesy call for "approval" of substitution, misrepresentation of product availability during ordering as well as the "where's the product" follow up phphone call lead to my request to cancel the entire order. ALLERGY BE GONE response was startling; "...as stated on our web site, you can not return product..." I reminded her that I didn't receive the product I ordered....which didn't seem to matter. As I attempted to clarify my position, I was interrupted and told she couldn't help me IF I CONTINUED TO BE RUDE.

I bought this product ten years ago as recommended by my allergist. When I washed it as directed (in HOT water) recently, the waterproof membrane inside fell apart. Not sure what happened. At any rate, I was pleased with the product prior to that, so I purchased another one directly on the Allergy Control Products website. Used discount code PD111 and got a 20% discount, which is comparable to the price listed here, but ACP may be a more reliable vendor.
