5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!
I've always been kind of a slob anyway, and when I had brain surgery 10 years ago that led to partial paralysis of my mouth, I was not someone you wanted to be around at meal time. I don't own a shirt or pair of pants that is not stained. I tried using a toddler's bib, but it wasn't long enough and I ended up spattering food all over myself anyway. This bib (I guess...

3.0 out of 5 stars Priva Mealtime Protector
My mom's first remarks were concerning the protector "hanging off her neck". And she doesn't like the lengthy portion down on her lap (I replied that it keeps her lap from getting slopped up). The protector hasn't gotten any use since then, but I expect her to try it some more as various foods present staining problems, like spaghetti, etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!, October 12, 2009

I've always been kind of a slob anyway, and when I had brain surgery 10 years ago that led to partial paralysis of my mouth, I was not someone you wanted to be around at meal time. I don't own a shirt or pair of pants that is not stained. I tried using a toddler's bib, but it wasn't long enough and I ended up spattering food all over myself anyway. This bib (I guess the politically correct term is "clothing protector") is nice and long, covering me down to my knees (and I'm 6'1"). I got the blue terry bib, which is more macho. It washes very well, and you might want to wash it right away because mine had a particularly pungent "vinyl" smell (the smell disappeared after one washing and drying, though). It covers my shoulders as well, and I like the waterproof backing. A great purchase, and I'm going to buy a few more.

4.0 out of 5 stars good, cute, January 16, 2007

i bought this for my mom, they are really big which is great, look cute, and absorb perfectly. The only reason i give it four stars is that after three months of using and washing, the fabric has started to look old and worn... but this happens with most protectors. Overall a great product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal for its purpose, October 9, 2007

I bought one of these for my elderly Mom, to prevent spills and stains on her clothing while eating. It has worked perfectly. Its easy to attach with the velco strips around the neck and doesnt slip. It is full length, attractive and comfortable and most of all works perfectly. No spills or stains will go through, not even spilled coffee or juice. The design does hide stains very well and it washes up easily. I am happy with it and the price is very good. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to protect their clothing while eating. I am glad I bought it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my 100 pound, 5 foot Mother!, May 24, 2011

I was hesitant at first to get this, because one reviewer who said he was 6'1" said it was just right for him. I was afraid that it would be just too big and just look like a tent for my tiny 100 pound 5 foot mother. It was still just right! It didn't look too big at all.
Also, the pattern that we got was really nice. I think it looks better than the the one pictured.
So if you are short and tiny, don't hesitate in getting this!

Excellent attractive product which performs as designed. Pattern masks most spills and washes easily. I suspect it will withstand many washings before requiring replacement.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mealtime Protector, February 4, 2009

The mealtime protector is great for my 88 years old mom. It is colorful, practical, and inexpensive. It is also easy for her to put on. The only change I would make is adding a pocket at the bottom so limited amounts of food fall on the floor.

She's been eating without it, risking staining, and I intend to be proactive in getting her to use it as I have to do her laundry and buy her clothes as well. Stain removal is at a premium, product price-wise, and I find, is nearly non-existent with current products --nothing works... pens, sticks, blues, etc. And bleach...Aaaaaa!
And the protector cannot help her with getting her sleeves into things (how did she get coffee all over her sleeve?!).

I love the fact that this has Velcro instead of snaps. I do not however care for the pattern. I thought from the picture it would be a soft lighter colors it is more mint greens, pinks and oranges. ither than that it is awesome.

I bought this for long car rides when I am eating or drinking while driving. It is perfect - no more spilled frappuccinos on my outfit. So far, I haven't spilled anything, but I have in the past, and this big bib covers perfectly and will be a blessing when the inevitable happens.

3.0 out of 5 stars Snaps do the adjusting, December 15, 2011

I ordered two of these for myself to keep my clothes clean when I eat, yes, I'm sloppy sometimes. I read all the reviews and knew I wanted something adjustable at the neck. I really wanted Velcro as the old fingers don't work as well as they used to but I got snaps. It's my fault for not reading well enough. I am 5 foot 3 and I find this bib too long and cumbersome. It's stiff and weighty on my neck. I wish I had not ordered two.
