The fourth release from Ricky Martin's debut English album is the best release thus far. It displays his talents more than the radio-friendly Livin' La Vida Loca and Shake Your Bon Bon, and the sappy She's All I Ever Had. It also captures the raw, realistic passion that is more apparent in the ballads on his previous 2 Spanish language albums ("A Medido Vivir" and the Grammy-winning "Vuelve").

"Private Emotion" is a ballad wrought with emotion and poetic lyrics. It is one of the most adult love songs on the radio right now, which is cluttered with the teenage love troubles of Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys and the lot. Meja's voice compliments Ricky's as they both truly sound like pained lovers. Buying this single will be money well spent, and prove to any doubters that with good material Martin will be one of the premiere U.S. pop singers of the next decade.

This song may well be the most amazing song ever written. I will disagree with the first reviewer; this song isn't an adult love song. It takes from the depths of the human soul and turns it into music that's essence is bittersweet, passionate emotion. It holds a beauty that no song on the radio could compare.

I am 13 years old. Admittedely, I am not your average teenybopper. I am a composer of both poetry and classical music. This song has touched my soul. I believe it can and will penetrate the hearts of not only adults, but of teenagers and even children. The soul belongs to everyone.

This is one of my favorite songs! I heard it on MTV Europe a couple of weeks ago and I can't understand why it hasn't been released in the US. It is by far RIcky Martin best song.

Ricky Martin and Meja make a great duet couple! This song shows so much emotion between both of them and I must agree with the first reviwer of this import that this is the best single that has been realesed by Ricky martin! If you haven't yet try to get this CD and try catching the video for it! Ricky martin will have a lasting inpression on this decade! Ricky es la luz de mi vida!

Ricky Martin and Meja make an incomparable duet. This song truly rocks!!!! They can feel the emotion involved and still capably preform the song. Private Emotion is the best Ricky Martin song so far(should be more great songs to come). BUY IT AND EXPERIENCE THE BEAUTY THAT IS PRIVATE EMOTION!!!!!!!

I like this song. The contrast between Meja and Ricky is beautiful but the song needs the video. The strong comes from the video not only for the music.
