More About the Author

HI, AMAZON CUSTOMER -- IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED THE KINDLE EDITION OF "BEFORE I SLEEP," PLEASE SEND A BRIEF EMAIL TO MILTONBAGBY AT GMAIL.COM TELLING ME HOW YOU HEARD ABOUT THE BOOK. HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT, AND THANKS FOR HELPING WITH MY MARKET RESEARCH!! -- MILTON

A native of Alabama, Milton now resides in Nashville, Tennessee, the setting for his Rick Burkhart Mysteries. A veteran nonfiction author, he has written scores of articles for magazines ranging from American History and Civil War Times Illustrated to Historic Traveler and Kiawah Island Legends.

He is co-author of "Frank Lloyd Wright's Rosenbaum House," was a contributor to the books based upon A&E Network's "Civil War Journal," and was editor of "Private Soldiers and Public Heroes," the story of the common soldier of the Civil War.

In addition to the Burkhart series, Milton is working on a batch of novels set in the 1950s, the Mid-Century Series.

In addition to writing, Milton narrates audiobooks for Audible and Books in Motion. He also produces audiobooks, most recently Elin Hilderbrand's great summer read "The Island," read by Denice Hicks.

Milton is a big fan of mystery writers and cover artists from the golden age of the paperback book--the 1950s and 1960s--and has actually made the requisite pilgrimage to Bahia Mar Marina in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, site of the fictitious Slip F-18, anchorage of the Busted Flush and residence of one notable beach bum.

Milton reads a variety of present day authors and is partial to James Lee Burke and John Sandford. "Their styles are like day and night, but I'm crazy about both of them." And when it comes to legal thrillers, there's no contest: it's Richard North Patterson.
