All Clarke's Privos are very good, but the Acacia is LESS "very good" than the others (especially the sadly discontinued Zombies, which deserve SIX stars!). It has the accommodating wide toe box and the interior and sole are comfortable and supportive, but the upper is relatively stiff and the sizing runs large; plus the elastic strap is not easily adjustable (the velcro fasteners are very stiff and will not stay in place). Great looking shoe and relatively comfortable, but not worth the price. Clarke's should go back to the Zombies which, for solid comfort, good looks, and wearability, can't be beat.

Privo shoes are terrific; however, this style runs extremely large. I am now wearing another style privo size 8.5. So I ordered this style at 8.5. It was too large so I returned it at my expense and ordered an 8. This also was too large. So I am returning this and trying one more time for a 7.5. If this doesn't fit, I give up.

I don't agree with the reviewer who criticized the strap and construction. Granted, I haven't experienced the discontinued Zombies style, which she said is great. I'm sure it is. But the Acacia is near perfect for my purpose, which is summer walking without resorting to ugly sneakers. The Acacia is light and airy, the strap stays in place. You don't have to redo the Velcro every time you put them on; you can just slip your foot into it standing. The stone color is gorgeous, and the black accents make them look great with black pants. Do order a half size smaller than usual. I normally wear 9 or 9-1/2, rarely 8-1/2. I ordered 8-1/2 and the fit is perfect. I also ordered the same size in the Monty, which fits fine, but I prefer the Acacia, especially for walking.

Took these to Europe because I was going to do a lot of walking. They were so uncomfortable. I even bought some gel pads and gel curves to help with the soreness...........nothing helped. I disliked them. I have $15.00 tennis shoes that feel better.

These shoes are very comfortable and just what I was looking for to take to Europe. I have worn them in and they have not caused my feet any problems. I leave today for my trip so we'll see how they hold up! I took the advice to order a half size smaller than my normal shoe size and that was accurate. This style of privos runs a little bigger than others that I have tried on so I was glad I followed that advice.

This is my second pair of Privos and this pair I ordered a half size smaller based on other reviews. The fit is perfect and the stone color goes with everything.

I got these shoes a few weeks ago and they have been on my feet from day one. They required no break in time. I'm now a huge fan of Privos. I have also gotten many compliments on these versitile shoes. They do RUN LARGE! I wear an 8 1/2 and got an 8 thanks to other reviews, but maybe could have gotten a 7 1/2! They are still a tiny bit big. They can be worn with shorts, jeans and capris. All in all, I really LOVE these really cute shoes.

I love these Privo shoes. This is the second pair I've purchased this year. They are stylish, comfortable and durable. They do run a big big, so take that into consideration. I'm usually a 8 1/2 but when I bought my first pair in that size, they were a little loose. The 8s fit perfectly.

I ordered a half size smaller because of other reviews. I found that it isn't true. I needed to send it back and order it in my normal size. Otherwise, I love the shoes!!

These adorable shoes just arrived and eegads, I wished I had listened to Laura and ordered my regular size and not a half size smaller. I'll return them for a refund and just ordered a size 7 with hopes of proper fit. Even though I could wear a 6.5, my feet are a bit wider than a B width, so 7's are my mainstay. No biggie, UPS is right around the corner!
