This review is from: Prize in the Snow (Library Binding)
This beautiful story of a boy who goes out into the woods with the intent to trap an animal will bring a tear to the eye of the soft-hearted reader. The story unfolds with such beautiful descriptions of the snowy woods and trek of the boy, you may feel the chill of winter while reading it. At the moment his excitement is fullest at the imminent prospect of the boy catching his prey, Mr. Easterling presents us with a starving, thin and shivering rabbit. The boy's change of heart in his quest and subsequent actions are believable and splendid. I sincerely recommend this book to any parent of an elementary school-age child, boy or girl.
