Magnetic therapy, often referred to as "Magna-Therapy," utilizes magnetic pads attached to the body to enhance natural healing. While not yet formally approved by the U.S.F.D.A., magnetic therapy is currently being explored as a useful remedy for many repetitive stress injuries by the National Institute of Health Office of Alternative Medicine.
ProBand manufactures and distributes products designed to assist in the relief of pain and prevent repetitive stress injuries (RSIs). The company's innovative, medically-based devices function as strategic and inter-active shock absorbers that help eliminate swelling and pain. All ProBand products were invented by renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Donald Fareed, in order to reduce pain in the elbow, forearm, knee, and ankle.

The idea is great in my opinion. I've had luck with magnets for other aches & pains, and I liked how the main pad was built and how it dampened the tendon flex. The other pad has a tendency to rest on the inside of your arm and not allow total flexing of your arm.
I'm sending mine back. Traded discomfort and annoyance for some pain remediation. Not worth it. Going to look for something else.
Oh, by the way. If you buy this, or anything for that matter, from "Pro Therapy Supplies" they WILL charge you a 10% restocking fee and their cost to ship the product(s) to you, if you decide to return the item.
What's to like about this product: It seems to be well made. The Velcro band is some of the firmest holding I've seen. the "Pads" are cushioned and although plastic can be bent or molded to fit the contour of your arm. This worked well for me. As supplied the pads were curved so much they dug in at the wings. The cushion on the pads has a tacky coating so it stays where you place it on your arm.
NOT to like: This product is truly a compromise. The magnets are so weak as to be barely perceivable. If you're looking for a true magnetic product, this isn't it. It doesn't work as a pressure band alone either. The pads are so wide they will not clamp on a tendon as a quality pressure band will. Adjusting the position of the pads on the band is a trying process. You will want to do this to get a good fit anytime you apply to a different position but the pads resist moving then when they do release they jump past where you wanted it. Not impossible but not easy. One other drawback is the Velcro band may bite in at the edges depending on where you place it. The band is not lined. It lacks any covering or provision for comfort.
What is it good for?: It does a good job on the sore muscles that result from trying to keep going with tendonitis. On the large area of the forearm muscle it provides support and maybe the magnet although weak helps out.Read more ›
Make sure you use it below the elbow-crease in the arm .. and don't tighten it up so much that oyu are in pain form that. "Fairly" tight works. Take it off every so often. I did about once an hour for ten minutes. Don't leave it on over-night or when sleeping. But that makes sense, doesn't it?
Careful who you order it from. I tried some other Amazon seller and, after a month, it was not here. Then I tried " The Therapy Connection at HPMS, Inc." and it arrived in three days.
it has now been 3 months since i first got this and the pain does sometimes try to come back but i just put the arm band back on (intermitently) for a day and the pain goes away again
may not be pretty or even comfortable over long periods of wear - but it did what was promised, and gave me relief from the pain
