This review is from: Pro Butterfly Net With Telescoping Handle
Until now I used a conventional butterfly net in an unconventional way: to help stray birds, moths and butterflies make their way out of my house. For some odd reason, birds especially keep flying into the house, and every time this happens an emergency rescue operation is launched. STAT. Birds become disoriented and stressed, they panic, there's a lot of glass and a big risk of an unhappy ending -- everything I want to avoid.
My normal, short butterfly net could do only so much because I often couldn't reach the victim. I found the Pro Butterfly net at Amazon and it was perfect. The telescopic handle gives me a lot more reach -- a 30" handle plus a 12" hoop makes for a very long arm --, and the fine mesh wouldn't injure the animals. I order the net, it arrives promptly (kudos to the seller) and it is immediately apparent that I have a new problem: this net is going to Brazil and there's no way it'll fit into my suitcase. I look up the manufacturer, Adventure Products, on the web, phone in and explain my predicament. The person who took my call was courteous, attentive and very focused in resolving my issue. How can I take this net apart so that it'll fit in my luggage? He first suggests separating the handle with a drill, but then has a better idea: taking it apart at the point in which the hoop and the handle meet. He explains how to do it. i do it. It works. I pack the handle and the hoop, no problem, fly off to Brazil, and then put it all back together in two minutes, with no damage to any of its parts. Perfect! The Pro Butterfly net couldn't be better. Sturdily built with quality materials (the handle is aluminum and the hoop is steel), the handle has a simple locking mechanism which allows the user to extend it just as needed. The mesh can be easily replaced if it tears. The net is light, great to handle and very, very practical. It may not have been designed for the use I am giving it, but it works perfectly.

One cheap part degrades value,
This review is from: Pro Butterfly Net With Telescoping Handle
The net and handle are great. The cheap metal piece that attaches it all together broke when assembling it. My husband was able to repair it so that it is useable.
