Works fine in my Canon Powershot S80 (so far); does not last as long as OEM, June 25, 2007

Though the item description says 700 mAh, the unit itself says 1000 mAh. The item is branded "CTA". This is the second generic battery I've used (I lost the first one). The first one was branded "POWWER" (sic), and though it was advertised as 1500 mAh, it didn't seem to last as long as the Canon battery included with the camera, which I believe is 720 mAh.
Anyway, for less than half the price of a Canon brand battery, this is a pretty good deal.
Updated: After fully charging the battery for the first time, the first cycle did not seem to last very long. Still, for the price it's still OK as a spare, though probably not good enough to rely on as your main battery.

For the price you aren't taking a big risk... but I can assure you that my experience with this bayttery is very positive... every bit as good as OEM battery.

I'm glad to see they've dropped the price on this battery from $10 to $3.50. They worked fine the first couple times I used them, but now they won't hold a charge at all. I just threw them away. Spend your money on something more reliable.
