4.0 out of 5 stars Don't Let The Price Fool You, November 25, 2006

This is a nice lift for the money. I found mine on ebay for about the same price. It needed a little "tweaking" to get it working smooth. Hand wheel was a little bent, hoist fit too tight to wheel assembly and brake spring & lever needed adjusting. Other than that, it was fine. Less than 1/2 the cost of the yellow lift. I work 95% of the time by myself and have used this on several jobs totaling about 300 sheets without any problems. I say buy it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice lift for the money., March 4, 2007

However, beware..... The shipping on this item will be around $100. So the $200 stated price is somewhat deceiving.

Even with the hefty shipping, the item is worth $300. It's very difficult to hang drywall on the ceiling when you are alone. I've done it many times (I use two adjustable lifting poles), but this thing is MUCH easier to use than balancing sheets on single lifting poles.

Even at $300 total, it's worth it if you hang any drywall by yourself.

Also, pretty good quality construction.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pro-Grade Drywall Lift, September 16, 2007

As a Habitat affiliate, we needed a low-cost aid to help volunteers do ceiling drywall installation. This lift meets that need at a reasonable price. Was promptly received and easily assembled out of the box. Found when using it that the out-riggers drooped a little so the 12 foot sheets sagged at the ends. Problem did not hamper installation once we knew what the problem was. It is a good value for the sometime drywaller.
