Pro-Pain delivers a punch in the head (as per usual).,

Pro-pain's fourth effort is definately worth buying. It seems to me that Pro-Pain are not as famous as they should be,because alot of their songs are downright catchy. Ok,maybe singer/bassist Gary Meskil's voice is not meant for the mainstream, but this is NOT death metal, they do not use profanities in every song and the ones that they do is not every five seconds and there is a reason for it. This disc has 11 songs on it,not all of them are great, but the ones that are make this disc a must buy! "Time","Don't kill yourself to live", "Smokin' Gun","Godsize",and my favorite "Love/H8" are songs to listen over and over again (which I do). The guitar work is fantastic! The tandem of Tom Klimchuk and Rob Mochetti remind me of Glenn Tipton /KK Downing of Judas Priest and Scott Gorham /Brian Robertson of Thin Lizzy. They totally gel like they did on the previous CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE. The lyrics are typical Meskil, no BS,says- it- like- it- is type stuff! Touching on politics, growing up,and disgust for the human race (mainly yuppie types). It is metal, but there is alot of classic rock tempos heard as well , that is just the Pro-pain sound and you really can't classify it.

Hardcoremetal at it's best! Pro-Pain are heavy as hell and recommended for all selfrespecting metal/hardcore people out there. Maybe this isn't their best album but it's the only one I know. The album opens no holds barreld with "Get real" but gets slower and mid-temp orientated at the end (which isn't a bad thing ). On "Time" Gary sings with a clean voice too, which makes the track more interesting and very depressing. "Life's Hard" is one of the heaviest songs on the album, powerful as hell. "Love /H8" is a punk-like kick in the face. Gary's lyrics touch politics as well as personal problems ("no love lost"). He has one hell of a voice and you can feel all the anger and hate in "my time will come". Again, this album should be on your shelf or better yet, in your player!

I'can't say enough about this album. Every Song is classic .
It's probably in my top 10 favorite albums of all time. Pro-Pain is an extremely underrated band and even amoung fans, this album is sometimes overlooked.

I first discoverd Pro-Pain by accident with their first album Foul Taste of Freedom back in 93. I have been a die hard fan eversince and stayed that way with every change the band has made. While not a house hold name like some other sell out metal bands ( we know who you are) They have kept cranking them out thru the years with out making (as far as I know) a song for radio release. They have stayed tru to form and this album does not dissapoint. I'm 53 years old and I think that they are a great band that deserves more recognition and credit for their contributions to metal music. I have every album and play them all to ragged death. With out a doubt a must have band for your collection. LONG LIVE PRO-PAIN. Have just orderd their 10th release and am waiting on pins and needles for its arrival. NUFF SAID.
