Product Description

Product Description

The Pro-Series 4 Cubic-Feet Electric Cement Mixer is the ideal size for mixing concrete for small to medium size projects around the house. Use this cement mixer to build a backyard BBQ pit, pour a concrete slab for a shed, repair an in-ground pool, or set fence posts. This general duty Cement Mixer handles drywall mud, plaster, stucco, mortar, concrete and more. You could even use it on the farm to mix cattle feed or treat seeds before planting. The Pro-Series 4 Cubic-Feet Electric Cement Mixer has a 180 lb dry mix capacity. The drum tips 360 degrees at a height that is perfect for dumping the mix into a wheelbarrow. The double insulated steel drum and frame is rugged enough for construction and farm use. A 15 inch diameter drum opening is wide enough to make adding dry mix easy.

From the Manufacturer

Cement Mixer is double insulated and has a 5 Horsepower engine.

I am extremely pleased with this little mixer. Just about the perfect mixer for the do-it-yourselfer. To date I've mixed over 350 bags of 60pound concrete mix. The mixer has handled it all perfectly with no stress or strain.

Very well designed. Easy to put together. Has a metal gear for turning the drum unlike some types which have a plastic gear. Drum height is perfect for dumping the mix into a wheel barrow.

The product came through UPS and it looked like it was dropped from an airplane and then dragged behind the truck to my home. The yellow barrel section of the cement mixer was pretty banged up; however, I called Buffalo tools and they immediately sent out a new barrel. After putting it together the unit appears to be a very nice cement mixer for the price and it appears to work flawlessly although we haven't actually used it to make cement yet. There are some inaccuracies in the Amazon add as it states that this is a 5 hp motor which is huge amount of power for electric cement mixer, but the actual mixer motor is 3/4 horsepower. In addition the actual mixer that I received is 4 cubic feet and not be advertised 3.5 ft.³. The instructions were fairly clear and all of the individual components were marked clearly and this helped immensely with putting this mixer together. For this price I believe that this mixer is a good value and I would recommend it.

The mixer blade does not reach what you are mixing unless you fill the barrel full. Then it mixes ok. Mine came with a broken plate that keeps the barrel from pouring out its contents. I had to manufacture my own plate to keep the mixer up right. The shipping company says the the Original shipping company has to file for shipping damage and the original shipping company will not respond to my inquires. so take it for what it is worth.
If I was going to buy again I would buy at my local hardware store and pay the extra money. At least I would know what I was getting and if it filled my needs.
I also paid for two day delivery and it took three weeks to get it delivered.

The item was broken in the box and I had to request replacement parts over the phone. I requested overnight shipping in order to stay on schedule but it took about 1 week. The electric motor is also not UL listed so I did not feel comfortable using it. This is a very cheaply made mixer with a lot of assembly required so I returned it and never used it. I purchased a Kushlan mixer for more money but it was well worth it! It is UL listed, assembled in 5 minutes, and is much more heavy duty.

Can't mix more than one sixty pound bag at one time. Harbor Freight has the identical mixer for about half price.

I bought 6 of these for my work. Only one showed up without damage (drums all beat up). One was so damaged that I had it returned. Of the other five, two have already died after only a couple weeks of use. The coupling between the shaft and fan pulley is made of mild steel. The shaft eats away the coupling, and the drum will no longer turn. Considering the price, I was not expecting these things to last years, but only a couple weeks is ridiculous. If I could give the rating zero stars, I would.
