I can leave them on for hours with no discomfort.

I even stopped having to use icy hot and eventually I even stopped using the wraps because my shins didn't hurt anymore!

Cons: directions for placement of the pressure pad is not very good.

After reading the above 2 reviews, I felt as though the reviewers were describing me. I took up running a year ago but I have to take frequent week-long breaks because my left shin just can't support that kind of activity. I ran 3 miles last week, and my shin KILLED me afterwards. The pain was against the bone, moving up behind my kneecap. Icing had no effect and, a few days later, the pain was getting worse -- not better.

I went to three different stores looking for a shin splint compression (Target, Walgreens, and a local athletic store) and none of them carried a compression wrap for shin splints.

When I tried on this compression wrap, it felt really good. The pressure was off the bone. I can actually walk upstairs again!

The wrap hasn't slipped on me at all. I think that has to do with the shape of your leg and how tightly you wrap the compression, instead of the compression itself, although I haven't tried running with it yet.

Also: the product looks a lot nicer than in the picture. The picture makes it look thin and gray, but it's dark black and made out of sturdy material.

No regrets here! I definitely recommend this product.

I am a want-to-be runner who continually gets sidelined due to recurring shin splints. I've tried all recommendations of strengthening, stretching and icing the muscle -- to no avail. Since I received these, I've used them every time that I've run - except one time - without pain. That one time I had sore shins for days. Also, I did plyometrics w/out wearing these and suffered sore shins afterwards. Later that week I ran a hilly 5k w/ the wraps on -- no pain! I wish I had found these sooner! I definitely recommend these.

Cons: directions for placement of the pressure pad is not very good. And, they have a tendency to slide - or maybe I just didn't have them on tight enough. Not certain because the directions are lacking.

If you were just going to wear the compression wrap while reclining, it works great. However, I tried to wear it while on the treadmill. It helped to ease the pressure on my shin but it kept sliding down my leg. Kind of defeated the purpose of buying it really.

I am a Police Academy cadet and have to do a lot of running, sprinting, and tactical training. I developed shin splints about a month into my year long program, and they were severe (I'm now going into my fourth month). In fact my doctor did not want me running at all for one month, but because that was not an option without being kicked out of the academy, Compression wraps that worked well were my only option. So I ordered these, I had them over nighted, which actually took more than one night. But the product is great, I couldn't think of any way to make them better, plus they are easy to change out of and into quickly, since we get seven minutes to take a (mandatory) shower, and change into our uniform from our training gear and be ready for inspection. They are a very supportive product and the compression splint (inside the front of the wraps) that lies on top of the main muscle in the lower leg really helps to prevent further injury while helping to heal the separated muscle, while running. They don't slide down, in my experience, as some have said. There is only one in the package so if you need two, order two.
Great product!! I would recommend them to a friend in a second.

I have had shin splints for almost a year and a half! i can not give up running because i am in the army so i have to run no matter what. From icing to taping i tried everything. I was skeptic about buying this product but based on the above review (thank u contributer), i gave it a try. and i am happy i did because it works really good. Before, i just couldnt run for more than a mile because my shins gave up. And if i taped them, then as soon as i stopped running and took off the tape, my shins hurt like crazy. but this product is really good!
The only small problem i have is that sometimes it starts to slide down a little bit. But that happens when you are running nonstop for 4+ miles. Overall i am thankful to whoever made this product! I couldn't keep buying expensive medical tapes and pre-tape wraps every week so i gave this product my try! and it really worked for me.

I just recently found out about this product. They are a real shin saver! I am really pron to shin splints, so I wear these for about an hour after every run and it does the trick! No more pain. A bonus is that you can use them to hold ice packs on your shins too :)Very multifunctional product.

I bought a pair of these for my brother and he says he likes them a lot. My brother has hurting shin splints but still wants to run so I thought it'd be a good gift for him.

Note that you have to buy 2 of these. It's not a pack. You do have to get used to putting them on because they only work if they're put on just right. You can't just blindly wrap your legs and expect them to work.
