Great Protection,

Wore these for the first time off road biking over the weekend, and liked them. I was concerned that they would be too restrictive while riding, but I was wrong.
The strap that is immediately below the back of the knee felt like it was sticking me a little so I just undid it and it felt fine. There are plenty of other straps to hold the guards in place. Over all they where comfortable and protected me completely on my two falls. I searched multiple bicycle shops and websites for combination shin/knee guards and found these where exactly what I needed at the right price. Expect to pay two times the cost of these particular Pro Tecs.

This review is from: Pro-Tec Nasty BMX KneeShin Guard (Sports)
I got these to replace some terribly wore out 661 knee shins I wear BMX racing. Long story short, they're not very good. Over bare legs they twist and turn a lot, so if I was to fall they wouldn't be between my legs and the ground. And I have meaty-enough legs after years of BMXing, so it's not like I'm not giving 'em enough to bite on.
Maybe over pants these's be a good deal, but with shorts, which is how I do most of my riding: No |
