I recently purchased two Protec guitar straps in order to avoid having to switch straps between instruments. 3.0 out of 5 stars First the bad news, then the good...
The bad news is that you will need a crow bar to pry the strap ends onto the studs. The good news is that should you manage to get the strap on, it will NEVER come off.

Otherwise, a rather plain, heavy duty, plasticky strap with plasticky ends.

I recently purchased two Protec guitar straps in order to avoid having to switch straps between instruments. These straps are quite flexible length-wise, so if you have ever been disappointed by a strap that you either couldn't get short enough for a high playing position or long enough for a low playing position, you will not be disappointed here. These are also a nice medium width, so they should be suitable for all kinds of players. Although one reviewer complained about the size of the holes for the strap buttons, I actually find the snug fit to be an advantage: it doesn't feel like I'll have to worry about the strap coming disconnected from the guitar. And, the price is right.

5.0 out of 5 stars guitar strap, February 25, 2010

Great strap for the new guitar that I bought my granddaughter. Adjusts easily. Take a close look at the picture. It has openings at each end. If you only have one peg at the bottom of your guitar you will need to get an attachment at a music store for it to work.

5.0 out of 5 stars basic black strap . . ., November 1, 2008
This review is from: Protec Guitar Strap, Black (Electronics)
Pro Tec manufactures a variety of accessories for musical instruments. Their low cost black nylon guitar strap, is a well constructed high quality item, that is a top seller at Amazon. The large sized attachment tabs are quite thick, about 1/8 inch. Although the fit on the typical guitar strap nuts is snug, some type of strap retainer would still be recommended. Black works with most colors, and this strap should last for a long time, but it is so inexpensive, if you qualify for free shipping, you might want to consider ordering a spare.

Very nice quality, inexpensive guitar strap. A little tough to get on.... that just means it's not going to come off with use, just make sure it is all the way on before you start using it! Using this on my Ibanez ART100 electric guitar. The pick pocket is a nice extra.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice strap., June 1, 2011

Bought this strap for use with my Dean EVO electric. It's very nice and durable, though the leather on the ends was really tough to get around the strap holders on the guitar since the strap is really heavy-duty. It works great, though, and for the price it's wonderful.

4.0 out of 5 stars Durable and Value, January 28, 2012

Nylon is strong enough and doesn't chafe. But it does stink a little out of the package. Let it air out a few days in the sun! Warming it up also makes it easier to attach to guitar.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Value-plain Jane Strap, January 12, 2012
This review is from: Protec Guitar Strap, Black (Electronics)
Great value & better than I expected. It is a narrow strap, so if you have a heavy guitar/bass, you might want a wider strap. The strap doesn't extend long enough if you want your heavy to hang low...ala Jimmy Page or Slash. A bought a couple & would buy again.

I'm using this on my acoustic guitar with Planet Waves Acoustic Guitar Quick-Release System. It fits well and is functional but it doesn't look great. I would never use this with a really nice guitar since it would cheapen the entire look.

That said, this is a good strap for what it's intended to be: an inexpensive way to hold your guitar up. Just don't try to use this on a heavy solid body electric guitar since A) it would dig into your shoulder and B) I wouldn't trust that it's sturdy enough.

5.0 out of 5 stars This strap works very well, December 14, 2011

I think this is an awesome guitar strap because it is fully ajustable and it makes playing guitar easier because I don't have to sit down as I play.
