Wouldn't stay in place..., May 17, 2007
If you were just going to wear the compression wrap while reclining, it works great. However, I tried to wear it while on the treadmill. It helped to ease the pressure on my shin but it kept sliding down my leg. Kind of defeated the purpose of buying it really.

These worked for me!, February 20, 2010
I am a want-to-be runner who continually gets sidelined due to recurring shin splints. I've tried all recommendations of strengthening, stretching and icing the muscle -- to no avail. Since I received these, I've used them every time that I've run - except one time - without pain. That one time I had sore shins for days. Also, I did plyometrics w/out wearing these and suffered sore shins afterwards. Later that week I ran a hilly 5k w/ the wraps on -- no pain! I wish I had found these sooner! I definitely recommend these.
Cons: directions for placement of the pressure pad is not very good. And, they have a tendency to slide - or maybe I just didn't have them on tight enough. Not certain because the directions are lacking.

This worked for me, too!, August 3, 2010
After reading the above 2 reviews, I felt as though the reviewers were describing me. I took up running a year ago but I have to take frequent week-long breaks because my left shin just can't support that kind of activity. I ran 3 miles last week, and my shin KILLED me afterwards. The pain was against the bone, moving up behind my kneecap. Icing had no effect and, a few days later, the pain was getting worse -- not better.
I went to three different stores looking for a shin splint compression (Target, Walgreens, and a local athletic store) and none of them carried a compression wrap for shin splints.
When I tried on this compression wrap, it felt really good. The pressure was off the bone. I can actually walk upstairs again!
The wrap hasn't slipped on me at all. I think that has to do with the shape of your leg and how tightly you wrap the compression, instead of the compression itself, although I haven't tried running with it yet.
Also: the product looks a lot nicer than in the picture. The picture makes it look thin and gray, but it's dark black and made out of sturdy material.
No regrets here! I definitely recommend this product.
