I went to the LA County Fair where Corioliss has a large display stand and chairs to do hair curling/straightening demonstrations with their flat iron. She curled the ends of my hair with a straightener and I LOVED it, so I paid $80 and went on my way. I used it 3 times since then. On the 4th try, it wouldn't get hot. It would warm up, and then turn off. I was luckily able to go back to the Fair to exchange it, which they did with no problems. But the new one I received won't stay on now. I've tried it in different outlets, started with the heat down low, power on OFF, then turned ON, and it still won't get hot. The light goes out and that's it. They have a stand at the Ontario Mills Mall, so now I have to go there to exchange it AGAIN because they do not issue refunds. On one hand, when I was able to curl my hair, it came out great, just like they advertise. It was shiny, silky, beautiful full curls that lasted all day. And I have super straight asian hair and was totally impressed with the results. But what's the point in standing up for a product that cost $80 and doesn't work when I want it to?! Definitely not worth the money or the hassle to drive around town to have it exchanged. There's got to be a more reliable flat iron out there that does the same thing but doesn't short out. I wish I knew this before I lost money on it.

I too am African American with thick natural hair(not chemically treated). I have been using corioliss for about 3 months. I have recieved more comments on how healthy my hair looks since using corioliss. I previously used CHI which is also a great product but didn't seem to give my hair the sheen that this product gives. I don't use any oil, grease or anything. I often either blow dry my hair or let it dry naturally(combing it out and twisting) before I use the iron. My only complaint is that the edge next to the heat plates pulls my hair out, so I have to make sure that I get my hair in the middle of the iron. Also, I paid way too much for my iron. I paid $120 for one and $70 for another (in the same day). I purchased the product at THE GALLERIA in Birmingham, AL (don't ever buy from those people at those kiosks). I wish I had done my research!

Best hair iron that I have ever invested in. Ive had a chi, a titanium flat iron that I bought at sallys it burned my hair and was not ceramic and I payed more than 70 for it! My mother and my sister love my hair iron they are always borrowing it, we fight over it all the time even though they own a CHI. I am hispanic and my hair is puffy and wavy. I blow dry my hair first or let it dry naturaly, I then straighten it or make big curls or flip it out or in. People always ask me if I use a curling iron because my hair comes out really nice with this wonderful product! Did I mencioned that I've had it for three years! great product! I did not buy it here at amazon I bought it at the Parks mall in Arlington Texas, they were trying to sell it for 120-130 my husband made them go down to 90 dollars even.

hope this helps!

i purchased a groupon coupon for a any nume hair tool. i was pretty excited to purchase a straighter from their website since i watched TONS of great reviews on youtube from beaty gurus. I'm confident they all get paid to do great reviews on their prodoct. when i got my flat iron in the mail the packaging was nothing special and to be totally honest when i opened it it looked USED! the logo emblem or whatever on the side was all scratched up and the plates looked worn out. I was like oh whatever it probably still works great. Im asian have natural straight hair. But when I was straightning my hair i noticed nothing special about it. It didnt give my hair no shine and it didnt seem to get that hot.. i'm very dissapointed in this straighter i paid %15 for a $120 coupon and even paid an additonal 30-40 bucks for the difference n shipping and handeling. I wouldnt purchase any more of their product or listen to any of the hype on youtue. 9 of 10 they are being paid and probably have been shipped a better product. terrible....I was better off purchasing something at target

I am African-American. My sister-in-law bought this flat iron for me as a gift from a mall for over $100. I have natural hair (no chemicals/perm). It works extremely well. Your hair will be shiny without adding any oil (it works better that way). This Amazon price is a steal. It's very well made. I and my niece (who has tons of long, thick hair)have been using this flat iron for over a year and it still works great! Just blow dry your hair (I do press my outside edges (hairline) with a pressing comb), run the iron through a few times, and it's nice and straight and shiny. To get it unbelievably straight, you can press it and iron it. The results will amaze you. Don't use any oil. If you must use oil, do it after using the flat iron and use a very light oil.

NuMe is a great product! I bought the magic wand 25mm and have had luxurious curls for days!!! It also leaves your hair with a healthy radiant shine. I own a hair extention company and I recommend it to all my customers.. Its easy to use and the results are fabulous. You can see some of the results on my website www.avianahaircompany.com. We used the nume wand for a photoshoot to style the girls.. Great product..

I ordered this because of it's dual voltage function. I was hoping to take it with me to Europe this summer. When it arrived I tested it and found it to be a complete waste of money. The plates do not align so your hair doesn't heat or straighten evenly. It actually pulls your hair! I have returned it to the vendor and they will not give me a refund. They say I have a replacement from the manufacturer. That was nearly a month ago and so far I have no flat iron, no refund and no option but to buy something else from a more reputable vendor. Don't waste your money!

This product is really worth the money. I have had it for over two years now and I have dropped it several times and it still works the same way it did when I bought it. It works really great on my hair..which is frizzy and curly. Very affortable at 49.95 compared to others out there and good quality.
