UPDATE; magnet loses its attraction, April 28, 2009
You know those bumper stickers we get from our children's schools? Whether they sport the school name or an award the child has won, I don't want them permanently mounted on my car. The solution? Magnet sheets. I peel and stick the bumper sticker onto the adhesive side of the magnet sheet. With adhesive on both surfaces, be careful. Once they touch, they are permanently glued to each other.
Now, I can place my children's bumper stickers all over my car and the car will retain its resale value. I can take the stickers with me and place them on my new car. I can rearrange them whenever I want. Wish they would make magnetic bumper stickers in the first place, but this is the next best thing.
Of course, there are zillions of craft projects that these magnetic adhesive sheets can be used for. The magnets stick well on cars, so that is what I use them for. Even through the carwash, they stay on. They'd make great magnetic advertising signs on cars or maybe sport the company logo.
The adhesive on the magnets is very sticky. I wouldn't worry about anything falling off. If you take the time to seal it, that's even better, but I don't do that with my bumper stickers, because they are already waterproof.

UPDATE: This magnet worked great for less than a year, then it stopped working as a magnet. I couldn't figure out why my bumper sticker disappeared on me until I made more bumper stickers and noticed one edge not sticking to the car. Then, after about a week, that bumper sticker also eventually fell off. I went back to the sheet and noticed some of the sheet was not magnetized. Was it always like that and I just hit the part of the sheet not magnetized or does it lose its magnetic attratction? I'm guessing the latter, because my first bumper stickers stuck well before they fell off. If you need long-term effectiveness, this might not be the right product for you.
