It functions great to protect the keyboard, but it's not the correct configuration for the keys as my keyboard is the old iMAC desktop. The color is great, it's just not the right match so the mat doesn't fit flush. I did love the arctic one I used for my wireless Apple keyboard!

It does keep your keyboard cleaner and the interference with typing isn't too bad. Unfortunately it is folded in the package and after more than a year mine hasn't flattened out completely. Typing over the fold (which lands over the cluster of keys to the right of the main keyboard) is annoying and since it doesn't sit flat on the keyboard there, it is much harder to read the key legends. It also tends to ride up around the edges.

I called and wrote to the vendor and they basically said "gee, too bad."

at first it was hard to get used to typing on, but now i love it it's almost like a finger massage. it is also nice how it makes the typing quiter and keeps my actually keyboard cleaner.
