Works, but could be better built,
Pros: works
Cons: unreliable light switch, tight battery compartment, flimsy battery door The light switch needs to be held down with force in order to make good contact. Otherwise the light would flicker. After a few seconds my hand gets tired from holding the switch down. The battery door looks like it could break off from material fatigue after opening and closing a few times because the hinge is just a thinner section of the plastic case that you bend open and close. There is no polarity indication for the batteries. I put them in with positive facing out and it works. The other way may work too. Also the battery compactment is so tight, I could not put in rechargeable NiMH batteries. I have to use alkaline AAs. When removing them, the inner one needs to be shaken loose. I wish they use an LED instead of a replaceable light bulb. Perhaps it is a dated design. The focusing mechanism is similar to a camera's dioptic adjustment. It focuses your eye to the projected image. Once adjusted, you don't need to adjust it again. It does NOT adjust the focus between the lens and the object your are looking at. That part is "focus free" -- anything farther than about 0.25 inch is viewable. The image only fills a small portion of your vision. It reminds me of looking through a door's peephole. I don't know if this is a norm or a con because I don't have other units to compared to. It comes with a very long case to keep the cable straight. I did not read the manual. Would I buy it again if I lose mine? Probably. However if I find other competing units with better build quality then the answer is not so sure.

My new toy,

This review is from: ProVision (SLIPV636) Borescope Inspection Tool - 36 in. 5.6mm (Misc.)
Got this from tooltopia. Received well package and came ahead of schedule. Tool is as described and came very useful but 36 inches long for me is still short... I would recommend getting 48 inches or longer... Great tool to use around the house.. Great seller!
