This tool is a godsend! Essentially, it widens a stair so you can put an extension ladder or unopened stepladder on it. When you're up on the ladder, it feels like it's sitting on the ground. Even though you may only need it for one or two minutes on a job, and even then only occasionally, it's worth the investment.

I felt completely comfortable on the ladder as I reached a spot that was difficult to paint. I could certainly have reached the spot with an extension for the roller, but but for precision work I needed to be up close. I've also used it to make it easier to change hard-to-reach light bulbs over the stairs.

I've lent the Pivit out to several friends already, and they all love it.

This is my second one because they work so well in pairs. From small ladder bracket scaffolding to an excellent plank leveler when siding or installing a window on a roof. Multiple roof pitches prove no problem. Secure grip on most surfaces. I used to make these out of plywood just 7 years ago, but these are longer lasting and safer.

This Provisiontools Ladder leveling tool is one of the best inventions in a long time. I do Post Construction Cleaning, so I'm up on ladders a lot. Before I got my Pivit, I was unable to clean windows if they were over a stairway. Now I feel I can safely set up my ladders. I bought two of these as I prefer to work on my step ladders, not my extension ladder. They work great. Thanks to the person that invented these.
