I have combination skin and my t-zone often gets very oily and sometimes breaks out. I love this product because its main ingredient is glycolic acid, an AHA (Alpha hydroxy acid), which exfoliates the top layer of your skin gradually and helps unclog your pores, thus preventing acne break outs. I've used it for years, once daily, usually before bedtime, and only sometimes do I follow it with a little benzoyl peroxide if I have a stubborn break out and my skin clears up fast! I would highly recommend it, but you must use it consistently everyday for you to see any improvements!

I have been using proactiv for 10 years. Nowadays I use the cleanser twice a day and follow with the treatment from [...](also contains benzoyl peroxide, like the proactiv lotion). My sister also uses proactiv, and we decided together that the toner really doesn't make much of a difference. The cleanser works great, but I haven't used the toner in years, and I can't imagine that it really matters. So I agree with those who say you can use the system but eliminate the toner step. (I have been to salons that say that toners aren't necessary at all, the one cosmetologist told me that toners are useful for minimizing pores.)

My complexion has never looked better. I can say today that I really like the skin on my face. I haven't said that probably ever. I tried a few other toners before this one and I like this the best. My complexion cleared up over a few weeks and I like the way my face feels all the time now. It doesn't dry me out or leave my face too shiny. I also use the Proactive oil free moisturizer and this or the combo of those two things has left my face better than it has been since 5th grade (read: pre-puberty). I use to think Proactiv was all just a big marketing scam. After seeing the reviews here on Amazon I am really beginning to think it is also just as much about the product and it is actually better than anything else. Who knew....

This is a very good product when used in conjunction with the cleanser and repairing lotion. My skin is has improved since I have been using these products.

do not buy from this seller,expiration date at the bottom had been erased.all proactiv products supposed to have an expiration date at the bottom.mine came with no expiration date listed. stay away from this seller.

This toner is simply amazing for me. It calms the redness on my acne and best of all reduces my acne! This toner should be more recognized.

This product is amazing, I thought the product was too strong on my skin about 5 years ago when I first started to use it. But I quickly learned that I was using too much. Now that my poportions are correct the results are amazing. I usually start to notice a difference in my skin around the 4 week mark, but everyone's skin is different. This product is definitely worth a try.

Doesn't overly dry my skin and works well. I love the proactiv system, just got this when I was trying it out. The prices on Amazon are about the same as the mall kiosks.

I guess my skin has changed, but this toner was wonderful at preventing and clearing pimples and giving my skin a clean glow. That is, when I used it many years ago with a non-Proactiv cleanser.

I ordered a bottle a month or so ago and have not had the same good results as I once had. Skin did not clear and it felt like I was leaving a film of very weak glycolic water behind.

I tend to look for far more natural, un-scented, uncoloured skin care products now, but thought I would give the toner another try. I think I am no longer used to dubious chemical products like these! But I tell you, if it worked for me, I'd use it.

I love this toner just the face wash not so much it just dues not work as well as it used to so I just stopped using it and when for St.Ives apricot scrub blemish and blackhead control and so far it works for me but I am in my 20ed's so I'm not sure how this will work for teenagers sorry but I would definitely try Proactiv toner it still works great and try the face wash I don't like it or the moisturizer b/c it makes me skin red and itchy but to each there own just get the free trial of proactiv that way u'll know if u like it or not then just buy it here or there depends on how fast u go throw it I don't go throw the toner as fast as most people do so I gut it here b/c it's cheaper but if u go throw the proactiv products really fast like u need it every month or so then just take the ones a month deal ok I hope this helps.
