5.0 out of 5 stars Move over Bart Simpson, here comes Junior Healy!
Problem Child is an all time fun movie to watch. Micheal Oliver does a tremendous job playing Junior Healy, a devilish child who creates chaos for particularly no reason at all. Problem Child is an all time fun movie to watch. Micheal Oliver does a tremendous job playing Junior Healy, a devilish child who creates chaos for particularly no reason at all. Even as a child, he placed under the door steps of many familys because nobody wants him. Even in the orphanage, the nuns want to get rid of him and threaten one of their employees , Mr. Peabody (Gilbert Godfred who happens to be a huge loud mouth like Chris Tucker), to make sure it gets done or he gets fired.

Anyway, the story is also about a couple by the name of Flo (Amy Yasbeck) and "little Ben" Healy who really want a child. Flo is a real pain in the neck and Ben's dad ,"BIG Ben" healy, totally hates him. studies have shown it can't be possible for them to give birth to a child but they can adopt one. Mr. Peabody tricks them into thinking that junior is a good boy and that is just the beggining. Junior makes things a living hell and at the same time junior's "hero" ,Martin Beck (Micheal Richards) who happens to be wanted criminal, wants to find JR and be partners in crime with him because he thinks junior is an x-con.
This movie will bring you lots of laughs. This is one movie you can't miss. If you thought kids like Dennis Mitchell (Dennis the Menace kid)or Bart Simpson were america's #1 brats, well think again because this movie just might change your mind. Buy this because it is going to be worth it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure Fun - A Treat!, January 4, 2004

I know, I know, 5 stars???!!! To me yes, 5 stars... If it makes me laugh out loud it get's 5 stars. Why? These movies can be watched again and again without seeming stale to me. Finally, these movies are available on DVD. These movies are pure silliness, but loads of fun. Ok, it's not art, but I laughed my butt off throughout the whole movie(s). It's nice to see that Ritter will be remembered - he was a joy to watch in these two films. I would compare these movies to Dennis the Menace (Dir. by John Hughes). Special scenes to my heart are Martha Quinn (yes, the MTV VJ Martha Quinn) blind date; the food fight in the Bubble Room (in Maitland/Orlando FL -The Bubble Room closed down a few years ago, and it's nice to see it is preserved in this movie); and Lorraine Newmann (from the Not Ready for Time Prime Players aka Saturday Night Live Original Member) wedding scenes. Pure Fun -Pure joy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nah-Nah-Nah-Nah-Nah, April 14, 2005

I was a little kid, probably younger then Junior when I first saw this movie. I never saw it as a PG rated movie, to me at the time it was kind of a naughty movie that somehow I was getting away with watching, almost being a mischievous kid myself by getting away with watching it. Now, I look back on it with fond memories and how I was probably influenced myself by these movie when I was in school. Tho none of us who where wild child's could say they drove a car through a store window, hung nuns out to fly, electrocuted the neighbours, torched there room, led a bear to the camp site, threw the birthday girls presents into the pool or drove heavy machinery into a wedding, we where guilty of a few things Junior and Trixie get up to in these movies. Junior may not be everybody's idea of a fun movie, but I saw him as the kind of kid that was doing what some kids where imagining, sure, there probably ex-cons by the 4th grade, but ya gotta have a sense of humour.

The 2 movies are placed onto the one disc (same side). There are a few trailers to get through first, and then you have the option for part 1 or 2. Unfortunately there are not any bonus features. I know there are plenty of deleted scenes, you only have to see the trailer once to know that, and what I really would have liked is an audio commentary and a "where are they now" clip. I always wondered who the juniors in the beginning where? Where they related to the main actor, or where they look a likes at younger ages? And what ever happened to the kid who played Junior? Also, a bit about how Amy Yasbeck ( Flo Healy / Annie Young) met her husband , John Ritter(R.I.P) (Little Ben Healy) for the first time on the set of this very movie! Hopefully, one day they will make a special edition for Problem Child, but for now this will do. 2 of 3, and the best of the 2 one disc is a good deal. Both movies are equally funny, which proves the theory that sequels are never as good as the original, wrong!

Problem Child 3 was a lame movie that shouldn't have been made, so take these two great movies for the kids, and maybe the adults might get a kick out of it, too!?

5.0 out of 5 stars More Childhood Favorites!!!, January 11, 2009

Problem Child- Ever since I saw this on tv when I was little, I've loved this movie! I love the the plot and direction of this movie and thought everyone was cast perfectly. Junior is a mean-spirited kid that nobody wants. When Ben and Florence Healy consider adopting a kid, Mr. Peabody persuades them to take Junior. Soon after, havoc ensues. My favorite scene is at the birthday party when he throws presents in the pool, puts exploding candles on the cake, and puts pickles in the pinata. Everybody in Ben Healy's life starts hating Junior, but Ben doesn't want to give up, until Junior drives the family car into Ben's dad's store. When a psychopathic killer escapes, he kidnaps Junior and Florence, but at first, Ben doesn't care, until he finds out that the entire time, Junior liked him. Ben saves Junior and tries to stop the bad guy! I highly recommend PROBLEM CHILD!!!

Problem Child 2- When I was a kid, I saw the original on tv and soon after, the sequel came on. I think it's just as good as the original. Ben and Junior Healy move to a different town to start a new life together. All the women of the 'hood think that Ben is sexy and want to date him, but Junior is not about to let that happen. At school, Junior meets a girl that's just as bad as him. Her name is Trixie. A beautiful mean-hearted sexy bank owner named LaWanda Dumore, played by the beautiful Laraine Newman wants to marry Ben and send Junior off to Bahgdad, but Ben does not believe him because of the way Junior has been the last couple of days. Junior tries to fix his dad up with the school nurse, who happens to be Trixie's mom. Will Junior and Trixie stop Ben from marrying LaWanda? I highly recommend PROBLEM CHILD 2!!!

I have seen so many more stupiter movies than this. Of course all of you people can complain that if you like this movie you have some serious issues SHUT UP! John Ritter was good with kids in it and the other actors were alright but have a light heart while watching it don't take the film seriously just sit back and laugh at it it is a fun movie. And some other reviewer said that they got physically ill after watching this movie What the hell is that all about? I really cannot think of one thing that can be so bad in this movie that makes people hate Problem Child so bad it is a funny movie.

The price is great $10-$15 less than the department stores. It arrived in only a couple of days. The only negative comment I have is that it did not come in its original box and that was not specified in the product description. Since I purchased it for a Christmas gift now I have to find something decorative to put it in before wrapping it.

I love Problem Child 1 & 2 because there so funny!!
I personally prefer PC2 more, but like both equally!!

The Problem Child Tantrum Pack is totally worth it for the films, but it totally lacks bonus features.

I love both of the movies. I had seen them sometime ago. I am glad I could get them together, and they're on one disc on the same side. I have alot of movies and this saves space in my collection and player. My fiance saw it for the first time and enjoyed them very much.
