What a great quick read. Mr. Orlando packs a ton of great relationship information into his first book. Having had a similar life to the author I could tell that he practices what he preaches! I think we are all a work in progress as we move through life sometimes on autopilot with kids, bills, work, etc. TPWWIM makes you stop and think of the little things(and big ones too) that you can do to not only strengthen your bond with your spouse but also help your children avoid some of the pitfalls out there. I highly reccomend the book for anyone one who struggles in relationships or just wants to become a better man/husband/partner/parent.

"The Problem with Women... is Men" is one of the best "real life" relationship books to come out in years. Charles Orlando gives it us straight with witty, yet practical and real advice. The best part is that much of his advice comes straight from his own, first-hand experience. Orlando, a former playboy turned "evolved man", serves up this goodness in doses suited perfectly for men and women to take in without feeling as if they've just read a elongated lecture. Orlando not only shows men and women the ropes of "what" their relationships with one another could be, but also shows us "how" to create long-lasting, drama-free love. A true gem and a must read.

Charles Orlando gives us a deep view inside the world of the man. He asks the question: What is wrong with men and where are all the gentlemen? He really tackles this subject head on. It was refreshing for me to see these questions being posed by...yes...a man! Charles takes the Man's Man and strips him down. He explains in detail the core flaws: Dominance, Etiquette, Infidelity, Emotional Availability. He clearly outlines these flaws and tells us, point blank, that men get away with murder with the women in their lives. Wow. Someone in the male species is actually willing to step out and tell it like it is!

Before you make the judgement that this book is about throwing the man under the proverbial bus, you must continue reading. Charles offers new insight on how the Man's Man can become an Evolved Man. He lays out a course of action for men on how to refine and refresh their lives to influence their relationships in a positive way. He takes his readers from the definition of the Evolved Man through the path to become the Evolved Man. He offers many humorous anecdotes along the way to demonstrate his points.

As you read through this engaging book, you will find that Charles does not hold women harmless and unaccountable. He sends the clear message to women to stop being victims. He doesn't tell us to rear up and fight back with the force of a hurricane. What he does do, is deliver suggestions on how we can positively affect a mans evolution without losing our identity. This was a refreshing message for me. He also suggests that women can train men. He makes the point that if you are unsuccessful in positively affecting a mans evolution, then perhaps you are actually training a man for the success of their next relationship. I find this interesting to consider. Can I recondition myself to not see a woman in a bad relationship as weak and powerless, but as the hero for her unknown sister?

One of the most profound lessons I learned is the idea that we do not give 100% of ourselves to a relationship, we give 50%. I give 50% - you give 50%. This makes a 100% effort in a relationship. This leaves me with 50% of myself, for my own identity - to remain me! This was music to my ears. We've all heard the stories of (or experienced first hand) women who have realized, too late, that they have lost themselves in a relationship. They gave it all. They had to bend, adjust, accommodate and accept - losing their real self in the process.


The Problem With Women...Is Men is full of lessons for both men and women. It is a must read for the Evolving Man as well as the women in their lives. I plan on reading this book again, and perhaps again. There are so many new thoughts and ideas that I wasn't able to absorb them all in one reading. This book will be on my night stand for a while.

My 18 year marriage is slowly coming to an end and I've been spending a great deal of time evaluating what went wrong and what could have been improved. I read the book "The Problem with Women... is Men" with interest while wishing Charles J Orlando had written it 18 years earlier.

Many of his points were truths in my marriage but the author provides solutions to the situations society has promoted for years. The reality is that men need to stand up and be responsible for more than just their jobs. Women have been working and taking care of the children and home for decades now - it's time for us to stop enabling the men in our lives and demand the same level of responsibility we take on. This change will free our time to be happier women, better wives and more successful in our chosen careers.

"The Problem with Women... is Men" explains how supporting this change in societal thinking will ultimately benefit BOTH people in the relationship.

just finished the book very very insightful my probs with men all stem from emotional availability and in the case of a recent ex few months ago! we where still playing the self esteem dance of death and i didnt even have a clue!!!!!!! (you will be pleased to know by friday i have deleted him out my life! after telling him i knew what was happening of course!!). really well written and very funny at times great to know more about you. also found the part about not saying good girl to children interesting as a single mum of 2 girls its something i said alot but wont again. can help my friends with advice now who are in relationships. Only negative things were as im single evolved man clothes, literature doesnt apply to me and living in uk the gratuity guide doesnt either, we are all too tight with our money its maids,taxis, restaurants thats it lol... Thanks for all that you do on here aswell in your spare time think its helping alot of us ladies and some men more than you will ever know ........ :)

You Can't Judge a book by it's cover!!! "The Problem with women...is Men" by Charles Orlando is not a male bashing kind of book. It's for BOTH sexes!! This book is a great read...explains how a relationship works both ways and how it takes effort from both parties to make a relationship grow. I really enjoyed the Appendix: The Evolved Man's Gratuity guide....I feel that a majority of men and women tend to short change food servers, cocktail servers, & ect.Anywho,I would suggest everyone to read this book...its a quick, witty, and enjoyable read! Way to Go Charles!

LOVE this book!! I really enjoyed all the different types of information in this book. You can tell that Charles really did a lot of research on this book. The information is really helpful and the fashion tips don't hurt either =0) I am really happy that I bought extra copies to give away to friends and family.

Great book...read it in 2 nights (after the kids were in bed). Would definitely recommend it.

"The Problem with Women....is Men" is a fresh new perspective on how men and women relate, and how they both contribute to the ups and downs of relationships. Men might think this is a book bashing men, but quite the contrary. Mr. Orlando examines both the societal lack of evolution of men and the enabling habits of women. More than just identifying the challenges, it examines the possible solutions in many areas from finances, to manners, dating and sex. It even goes so far as to put in a very handy index of things all "evolved" men should know, and that self-aware women should know as well. An easy, educational and very entertaining read, it is a must read for women and for men. If you want another relationship book that blames the other side, this is not the book for you. However, if you are looking for a light-hearted but critical look at how the sexes can improve themselves and the way they interact, this is a must read.

This book transcends.

If you dare to read "The Problem with Women... is Men"? you will discover that it overflows with real answers - a rich tapestry of solutions, and wonderful advice if you're confused by how to relate to the 'planet Venus'.

An allied author, Paulo Coelho has sold 100 million books on the human spirit. His most famous is 'The Alchemist', a fable about following your dream. Paulo certainly would be so proud of Charles. In fact I'm going to send a message to Paulo Coelho right now - he would LOVE this book.
