A Very Strong Resource Book on Cosmetic Surgery,

David J. Goldberg, MD JD has compiled an excellent quality book for physicians both new to the field of Cosmetic Surgery and for those who have been in the field for some time. This Volume 1 deals with vascular lesions, leg veins, pigmented lesions and tattoos, laser treatment for scars, treatment of actinic keratoses, acne, psoriasis, photodynamic therapy (cosmetic), and laser hair removal. His writing style is comprehensive yet accessible to the reader. Every topic is accompanied by clear photographs of the lesions and their treatments. As an added benefit, there is a DVD edited by Thomas Rohrer, MD that covers a number of the topics in the written pages of this book. The book is Volume 1 in the series LASERS AND LIGHTS and is the second addition - an improvement in every way over the first addition.All medical books are priced high: the amount of work and photography a book like this demands such a price. What makes Goldberg's book a step above the others is his willingness to share a large number of articles in a reference page at the end of each chapter - always a sign that the writer cars about the dissemination of correct information.
