Procter & Gamble 32695 Swiffer WetJet Multi-Purpose Cleaner Refill

We all know this product is the catch to the very reasonably priced Swiffer Wet-Jet mop. If you've ever tried to remove the lid, you've noticed that it is nigh impossible to remove without breaking it.

It's the standard "razor and blades" business model and it works very well for Proctor and Gamble (creator of the Swiffer line of products). Unfortunately, this business model produces a ton of waste and this refill product is one of the worst ones I've seen.

Well, here's how to stick it to the man!

Take that empty bottle and put the white cap in a vice (or alternatively some hand held pliers). Tighten it a little bit at a time until the bottle just twists/pulls right off! At the bottom of the cap there are 4 or 5 small barbs and all you're doing is bending it so that they no longer catch. Other than those barbs, it's just like any other threaded cap. Now all you have to do is simply remove the barbs and you've got a reusable Swiffer Wet-Jet bottle! My Dremel got the job done in a few seconds but you can use a razor blade.

I refill mine with just soapy water and a small amount of bleach and it works great!

This cleaning solution is great. It does a better job than other cleaning solutions I've used with a regular mop, and it gets the job done faster. I use it in my kitchen, bathroom, and all the hardwood floors in my entire house. I have a 7 month old baby that crawls everywhere, so clean floors are important in our household.

I don't believe in any of the negative urban legends that are being spread around about this product. I feel that this product is safe, if used properly, like all household cleaning chemicals.

I give it 5 stars, because it's truly the best and most convenient I've ever used in my home.

The mop and the system are fabulous. It works really well. The smell of the cleaning solution is so strong it made me gag and I could taste the cheap perfume in my mouth. Simply horrifying. The smell penetrates to all the rooms in my house. I had to go outside and take deep breaths to clear out the stench. It would be perfect if they had a no stinky perfume version.

beautifully. I am so glad I finally decided to buy it
and I do recomment it to every one.

This solution smells great and works great. I don't believe all the bad rumors. Plus, the lid is sealed and you just pop it right on. Great smell, great cleaning and so simple to use. I don't do many reviews but I am glad I found this product and will use it on a regular basis. Love the mop too. I had the original without the batteries a long time ago and would not give you two cents for it. But this is the best! On top of my list of great cleaning products. Mrs. Meyers ranks there too!

This stuff stinks to high heaven! Even with the lid on I had to set it outside my house because it's horrible cheap chemical perfume was giving headaches. That's how invasive the fragrance is. It totally reeks. I'm hoping to empty the "cleaning" solution and refill it with something less nasty provided the smell isn't so permanent the bottle is tainted forever. Otherwise I'll just use my own squirt bottle and the mop part.

I sure wish these companies would make unscented products.

I own a Swiffer Wet Jet Mop and without this solution it wouldn't clean well. What makes it clean well is this solution. The smell is nice and it cleans perfectly.
