This product glides along hard floors easily corralling lint and dirt. The lint adheres to the cloth, as does some of the dirt. However, the remainder of the dirt will stay under the head if you don't lift the head from the floor (use a U-turn motion with the swivel head). It is easy to wipe up the small amount of dirt that remained under the head. This is a lightweight product, so it is easy to use for dusting walls and tops of door and window frames. When one side of the cloth is too dirty to reuse, flip it over to extend the cloth's life.

The MAX swiffer has a beefier handle than the original, making it easier to hold, and its larger head allows me clean faster. I found the original swiffer iritating because my hand cramped trying to hold the narrow pole and it covered a very small area with its head.

The Swiffer Max, with its nice large size, only does one job -- dust the floor. If you want to wet mop, too, you have to use a different tool. Or use two of the Swiffer wet cloths -- which doesn't work very well as they are smaller and don't fit as well. Plus it is wasteful to use two cloths when one larger one could be used, if the manufacturer would just provide adequate support for this product by making wet cloths in the Swiffer Max size. I do not recommend this product. The regular size Swiffer is better because it has both dry and wet cloths available.

For a better dust mop that is the same size and costs about the same as the Swiffer Max, I recommend Quickie's HomePro Mighty Mop 076. Terry Mighty Mitt Mop This floor duster has a washable terrycloth mitt that is held on by strong elastic. It also has four grippers so it can use the disposable Swiffer Max cloths, too. If you wish, the terry duster can also be wet and used as a mop. I bought a replacement mop mitt so I can continue to use the Quickie dust mop while one mitt is in the wash. Love this product but do wish I could find the large size cloths easier. Most in town are the 8x11 and I use the large size. I can only find so far at K-Mart...

This swiffer works great as a dry sweeper, but you can't get wet cloth refills for it. The directions say to use two of the regular size refills. Not only does this DOUBLE your cost of refills (in comparison, the extra large dry refills only cost about 3 cents more per cloth than the regular size), but it doesn't even work well, and here's why: The small cloths do not fit around the mop. You have to place them just perfectly for them to reach the thingies that hold them in place, even then they barely reach so when it runs against a wall or something, the cloth comes loose. Also, IT DOESN'T CLEAN WELL because when you use 2 cloths, they overlap each other for about one third of the length of the mop head. Therefore it doesn't have a flat mopping surface. The center third of the mop hugs the floor as it should but the two thirds on each end are held up from the floor by the double layer in the center. Get with it Swiffer. Would it kill you to make a wet cloth that fits your product?

1. The Max size does not have a corresponding Max wet mop cloth size. You have to use two of the regular size, which means the cost adds up. Also the two cloths just don't work well. Very wasteful.

2. You cannot control what chemicals you are using. This is a big deal to me for health and environmental reasons.

There used to be similar product with reusable velcro attached cloths. You could toss them in the laundry when they got dirty. I just can't find it out there.

Very hard to find the extra large swiffer cloths in our area and am very pleased to have found them - they are the original stuff!

This is a great product. It is larger and makes my housework go much faster on my floors. I have a large dog that sheds badly all year. It helps keep up with the dog hair.

I am professional cleaning person for many years, cleaning houses would recommend to every one why has hard floor, especially with the pets,and I don,t use wet one waste money and chemical. Great big size ,very good works, I am happy I found here great price. Try go with swiffer, after vacuum your floor (hard-floor) will be surprise ))

I have mostly wood floors. Usually, I just use dry paper towel to remove dust/hair/dirt. Three small sheets (the non-square shorter ones) fit perfectly on this swiffer. For an occasional wet cleaning I use more layers of wet paper towel. Maybe I'm not the cleanest person out there, but I get the floors in acceptable shape in no-time!

I have tile floors and ordered the swiffer sweeper to help clean floors. I recd' in a timely manner. It is amazing and was almost effortless. We used both wet and dry applications.
