I used this oven to roast our Thanksgiving turkey a few years ago. The turkey was moist and flavorful - did not go dry like a bird roasted in the oven. One caveat: Turkeys cooked in these ovens will not brown like a traditional oven & so need help from a product like Kitchen Bouquet to get a brown color.

The oven works well for baking also.

Nice to have an extra oven sometimes.

*This is one of my favorite kitchen appliances. I almost didn't buy this thing because of that review on here. No way is this thing aluminum, or tin! Great buy especially for the cost. If you want a product based on looks then you probably should purchase a pretty (expensive) one. I can't see myself tossing out something that works, and well at that, all because of appearance, but I guess that's just me. Anyway, after about 5 months I still love it, it does scorch, but that doesn't affect the cooking, or taste. Saves money not having to heat a big oven to make what will fit in here.

This roaster is the best one we have ever used. We cooked a 9 pound turkey breast for the holiday, and it was great. It was done in 3 1/2 hours at a temp. of 325 for the first 2 hours and 275 for the last 1 1/2 hour. It will be the one we use from now on. Could not be more satisfied. Great little unit.

I purchased this roaster and I absolutely love it. It makes dinner so simple..just season it, put it in the roaster and forget it. I made a roasted chicken that would put any store bought chickent to shame!!

This is like having a small countertop oven, an oven just the size of what you're cooking, not a vast cavern of wasted heated space as with the range oven.

No, you can't cook a turkey in it, but it's perfect for a chicken, or a roast. Or several baked potatoes. Efficient - you don't have to heat the big oven for a small item.

I have also cooked beans and soup in it. Using it this way means you can walk away for a couple of hours without worrying about the liquids boiling out as you do on a stove top.

The removeable interior pan makes clean up easy. The adjustable thermostat is great. How many superlatives can I fit in one sentence?

I gave two of these as Christmas gifts last year and both recipients are using the heck out of them.

We, my family, have used the large 22qt roasters for years for a catering business. They come in very handy when there is no oven space at the location.
Anyways, I was looking for something that i could make soup in, and maybe the occasional small roast. By chance my parents bought one of these and let me borrow it.. The first night i made pork and sauerkraut and the next ham and bean soup. It worked perfectly. I am so impressed with it im buying my own.

The only note i will give is:
The liner is not-stick which for me is a plus, its enameled metal. It has also slightly discolored from use. This is normal as we have seen it happen in the larger versions of this type of cooker. It is caused by the heating element around the side of the liner. The side of the roaster does get hot when on full blast.

all in all this a perfect for my needs..

I only used this product 3 times and although the chicken/turkey/roast I prepared turned out well, I'm very disappointed in the quality of this product...so much so I'm throwing this one out and already shopping for something of higher quality. Unfortunately, I didn't save the original carton or else I'd return it for a refund. The lid is chinsy/ thin/ aluminum (or maybe it's tin) that looks like whatever 'spray coating' they were giving it at the factory never got finished.

The roasting pan sides burn and scorch (even though nothing is touching the sides) and no matter what I've used, it doesn't get clean. I also noticed 3 small uniform chips in the finish of the roasting pan that were obviously a defect and not caused by usual wear and tear. At this point I'm actually concerned, health-wise, about continuing to cook with this product.

I love roasting pans...quick, convenient, easy but I would shop for something of better quality.

I have wanted a Roasting oven for a very long time but I did not think I would need it very often. This is the perfect size for a family of about 4. It will roast a small turkey if you wanted. We roasted a Turkey breast and stuffing and veggies. It is perfect for doing a whole meal in one pan. Great if you want to use your oven for other things at the time you will be roasting or if you just don't want to heat up the large oven.
I am very pleased with the ease of use. It has a removable insert pan that makes clean up very easy too.
