It's the perfect size for 2-3 chicken breast halves, a small pork roast or a pork tenderloin or two, a nice small pot of soup, etc. You should get enough for a meal today plus leftovers for a couple of additional meals.
Clean up is a breeze with the removable crock, and the exterior of the unit cleans just fine with a damp cloth. The small footprint allows for out-of-the-way placement on the countertop for cooking, and easier storage.
I'm an older adult grad student, and this little cooker is going to get a lot of use this winter while I'm working on my thesis. Highly recommended!
Update: It's almost two years after my first review of this, and it's still performing great for me! So glad I purchased this :)
Update 10/2014: This slow cooker is still going strong! I love waking up to a warm pot of steel cut oats.
This product has extended my expectation of independent living. At coming 90 years of age,the simplicity of cooking and safety of never burning or boiling over, has removed a major problem of having to be aware every minute of stove or oven use
