All of the speed is coming from my own pedaling.

They say because the battery has water in it it doesn't fall under the warranty, so anyone out there, do not ride this bike in the rain even though I did not!

I had the chance to ride a few other brands of ebikes and the Prodeco has a much better fit and finish, and I like the made in the USA aspect also.

I'll try to get a video review up later, but I wanted to review this bike while I am fresh off a 30 mile roundtrip. I was debating scooter/moped/electric bicycle, but I am glad I ended up going with the Prodego Genesis. It's less money to run and maintain, it comes with a 2 year warranty, and it lets me go anywhere that a bike can go. The range is even better than claimed; I just rode 30 miles and the battery still shows 50% full! I pedal gently when I ride, which extends the battery, however I'm a naturally sweaty person, and with the Genesis, I get to work without sweating! I charge the battery at work for a few hours (on my bosses dime!) and then ride home, again, with no sweat. Everyone at work who lives close to our office is asking me about buying one now, and I can't recommend them enough. One minor downside is that you need to make sure to lock up the front wheel, because that is where the motor is, however I use a U-lock and a cable lock together to keep my bike secure. Amazon free prime shipping is always a bonus too, I got this thing from their warehouse on the east coast to California in 2 days-

UPDATE- I've been using the Genesis for almost 4 months now, and feel I can report more fully on it's capability. I still rate it at a 5star item. According to Prodecos website, this bike gets the equivalent of 1200mpg. I don't know if that's 100% accurate, but it's still pretty cool. I had the chance to ride a few other brands of ebikes and the Prodeco has a much better fit and finish, and I like the made in the USA aspect also.

Quite simply a great bike. Yeah it's really expensive, but for that you get an extremely well-built and versatile bike. Disc breaks are great and have way better stopping power and longevity than traditional squishy rubber clamp breaks, the Atlus shifter is excellent and really cool (more or less push-button shifting). Triple wall rims feel extremely durable and the tires are great. You're obviously getting a whole hell of a lot of bike for the money.

I'm a bigger guy and the motor has enough power to get me going un-assisted even (though it does take a while to accelerate), a smaller, lighter person might even feel a bit of punch when you apply the throttle. Has enough power to go for a good long distance although I doubt someone my size would get a full 25 miles out of it. I didn't expect that much anyway, I just needed it to get me a few miles to school and back every day.

My only real qualms with it are when I got it, one tire was flat (and seems to have a slow leak). Also now a month or so in, the rear light (on the back of the battery pack) is busted, just from the bumpy ride. Everything else still works though and works well. Also it can be pretty difficult to find tubes for tires that need a 48mm Schrader valve (normal length ones won't clear the rims, they're really thick). You can find them on Amazon but if that's the only place you manage to find them, it might be a good idea to grab a couple in advance in case you get a flat.

All in all though, very pleased with this purchase. If you're wondering if they're worth the extra cash, I think so. Once you get going and apply the throttle, it's more or less like you just never stop coasting.

I purchase my bike about 1.5 yrs now. The warranty was suppost to be for 3 yrs paided for. I never had any problems with it until recently the battery went bad. I took it to Prodeco and they told me the battery had water in it. Now I never rode the bike in the rain. Only rode it to work once in a while. The bike was always in the house! We have played phone tag now for about 2 to 3 months now. They say because the battery has water in it it doesn't fall under the warranty, so anyone out there, do not ride this bike in the rain even though I did not! because the battery must not be water tight. Would I buy another Prodeco bike? No, because they do not stand behind there product. (Don't know where the water could have come from!! Or maybe there was no water!
