What a piece of junk. Save your money. It went in the garbage day one. Springs jammed down the tubes...Looked and felt flimsy and cheaply made. A total waste of money.

Cheaply made. Insufficient space 6" should be 8 1/2" or 9". Springs too stiff for what it is holding. Too hard to compress even 3".

Cost was low and quality low. Very thin plastic with cardboard
back. However, good service and arrived quickly. You pay for
what you get. I guess it's amazing you can buy items so cheaply.

I have a very small and compact bathroom that's as wide as my bathtub and about two feet longer than the tub's length. When I replaced my toilet last fall, the old, metal shelving unit I had no longer fit.

This cabinet was the only thing I could find that would fit the space. It's light-weight and assembly was relatively simple. It doesn't have as much capacity as my old unit did and because it's plastic, I'm hesitant to place too much stuff on the shelves. Still, it mostly serves its intended purpose and if space is at a premium, it's a decent purchase.

This has been the most miserable thing to install. We have 8 foot ceilings in our bathroom. The packaging states that it works for up to 8 foot 1 inch. We can not get it to tension to stay up at all. We finally got it installed, though not the way it is intended to be installed. We used command hooks to hold up the top compartment that is currently keeping it steady up. We also went and got gripper feet for the bottom hoping it would help, which didn't because we still could not get enough tension to hold it in place.

We have had and used other over the toilet shelves before. This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever seen. Don't waste your money on it. I have a feeling it will be headed to the trash sooner than later.

This is not a terribly sturdy item. This is for an adult bathroom. I bought one of these 20 years ago. It was a little flimsy just like this one. It lasted 13 years. My husband tangled with it and was not pleased with the wabbliness of putting it up. However, once it is up, it works just fine. Remeber this is thin plastic and not fine wood furniture.

No good no only for its six inches, but thin plastic that will break itself. It is a wasting money joke

OK, I read the other mostly negative reviews about this space-saver, and what they say is generally correct. What they did not mention is that this space saver from Amazon is about the only place in the world that you can still buy these incredibly efficient over-toilet space savers that were so popular back in the 1980's. The price cannot be beat! I used the new one to replace an almost-identically designed one that I've used since about 1985. I was familiar with the assembly process - that helped me a lot. Besides being very careful in doing the assembly, here are the "problems" I encountered: One of the 2 "cabinet backs" (thin panels) was missing (not included). If I had thought ahead, I could have used an identical panel from the space saver I was trashing - instead I just cut the shipping box and used cardboard from the box. Secondly, the #8 sheet metal screws to hold the "plastic straws" (plastic tubes) in place were a bit too small so I walked to nearby hardware store and bought some #10 screws which worked just fine. Lastly, the space saver uses springs in the upper part to push 2 tubes against the ceiling, to a nominal maximum height of 8 feet 1 inch (I think it would work well to 8' 6"), and for ceilings below 7 feet 8 inches the instructions recommend cutting tubes shorter. My ceiling is 7 feet 11 inches and I still had to use most of my strength to compress the spring-loaded upper tube.
