At first this seemed like a great idea to protect my $1200 investment.

Upon receiving the unit, I noticed right away that the lens protector was not usable - by having it installed, I could not access my lens zoom function, so I figured, I'll just use the body armor.

Bad mistake.

It is too bulky, and blocks the use of a tripod. In order to use a tripod, I had to remove the entire armor, or it would not let me screw in the base.

The idea is solid, but the execution is faulty.

Until they come up with a better solution, I will have to do without.

The product has been returned.

I love this armor. It really gives me a better grip on the camera and saves the finish in case I bump into something or just from holding the camera (watch/rings hitting the finish, etc).

Really felt I had to take off a star because the price is so high and because it isn't a perfect fit.

The mold is perfect, but some of the areas are so thin that the cover moves around a bit. That gets annoying when trying to change lenses, toggle switches, etc. There are improvements over the 30D model though - I have a much easier time with lens changing than my buddy with the 30D version of this. It fits great over the screen area and the button placements are perfect (when the armor hasn't slipped).

The body armor fits the camera very well. It does move a little bit and I am thinking about putting something like a two side tape to fix it in place. However, the Len Armor is way too small for the 72mm lens I got from the kit. I got the Canon 40D EF 28-135 IS USM Kit. The len armor looks to be for lenses which are 52mm or even smaller. This was not described anywhere on the product page or on the box. Otherwise, I would give it a 5 star.
