I've had these spice jars for about 2 years. I would not recommend them for use as spice jars. They look good, but lack key functional qualities, as described below. A fine spice jar for the cook who never cooks.

Pros:
* The jars do stack well and form a stable tower of plastic jars.
* The jars are nice to look at, particularly when filled with colorful stuff.
* The jars work well for shaking out unmeasured amounts of dry stuff.

Cons:
* They're made of a very brittle plastic so they aren't as durable as most spice jars. I've used mine normally and have several with huge cracks that run the height of the container.
* They aren't air tight, so if you live in a humid climate you could end up with a solid clump of spice, rather than powdered spice.
* The opening at the top of the jar is too small for all but the smallest measuring spoons.
* The jar is too shallow for use with measuring spoons that do fit inside.
* A lot of the spice volume falls into the well around the bottom of the jar, which is basically not accessible to any measuring spoon.
* It's very difficult to pour spices out of the jar because of the wide, flat, top side that leads to the opening.

These stack very nicely, and organize a cluttered spice rack in short order. My only complaint is that the adhesive on the labels that come with the product is insufficient. After a couple of days, many of the labels had fallen off, leaving me to wonder which was basil and which was oregano. Did the manufacturer not test this? It's nothing that a little bit of tape won't fix; it's just annoying that this is necessary.
