The product description and pictures left me unsure... but I took a chance. I needed some pourers, and they looked nice. They are.

These are fairly heavy construction, and very classy looking. The pour spout is just like it appears in the photo -- wide spout, fast pouring. The rubber fit for both the pourer and stopper are very good, very high quality.

The only thing that's not perfect is as described in the product description: it says "chromed" metal. If you look very closely, you can see the chrome plating is almost perfect, but not quite, and not pure chrome (you do have to look very closely though). Because you can't tell without a bright light and very close inspection, I still give this a 5 Star rating. (If it were of higher quality, I'd be paying 2-3 times the price.)

All in all, a very nice addition to the bar. I'm buying more.

As anyone who puts white wine back in the fridge on its side will appreciate, a leak proof stopper is very important. Once a stopper leaks, it is hard to trust the stopper again. Unfortunately, our Prodyne stopper leaked, and we now mainly use it as a pourer or for bottles we know we are going to finish in an evening. Otherwise, it is high quality, attractive, and the pourer is very nice.

They work great on wine and olive oil. It saves the dripping and is much easier to use than twisting caps or pulling corks.

I bought these 2-pak pourers in October, 2009. They have been in fairly continuous use - one is always in a bottle, the second one occasionally in a second, backup bottle, but both received same amount of use since I switched them back and forth.
I just noticed this week that they are both bubbling up chrome on the inside of the spout. A bit has already flaked off and gone into the wine. I guess the wine is too acidic for chrome. They are a wonderful design if you store the wine upright. The rubber cork doesn't really form a tight seal at all, it sits snugly with a little extra grab because it's rubber. They look and feel great and I really enjoyed using them, for these 13 months, though I would have stopped using them earlier if I had noticed the problem. Will look elsewhere to replace them.

I liked the look of these stoppers so I bought some but have been very dissapointed. If you store your wine upright, they are probably fine, but if you store your wine on its side, as I do in my refrigerator's horizontal bottle holder, they are worse than useless because the cork pops out and there goes all your wine - or at least most of it. This has happened to me the last two times I have used this stopper, so I'm not willing to chance wasting any more wine by trying again.

The stopper is rugged and the rubber gasket appears to be a much better designed one that previous pourers I have purchased. One word of caution: gas from the wine can cause the stopper to launch unexpectedly (but has only happened once and on one vintage). I would purchase this item again without hestitation.

it arrived in the mail and boy was he impressed.
he loved them, they are very ex pensive looking and do the job admirably. would recommend this item to a fiend. lovely stocking stuffer for that hard to get person

I bought these for my boyfriend based on people's ratings as compared to other stoppers/pourers, and it was well worth it. I bought one for myself at a local retail store and I love it! Definitely worth buying if you drink wine at all.

The looped handle grip is inserted too deep into the pourer that it is difficult to grip and then it hurts the fingers when you do get a hold of it and try to pull it out. You cannot pull it straight either you must twist it making it even more difficult since you barely got it by the tip of your finger. A pair of needle nose pliers worked for me until I purchased some Oxo's :). This product definitely needs improvement !

I've tried a lot of other stoppers and/or pour spouts. Most of the pourers would leak or drip, and various stoppers would fit some bottles but not others, or didn't really work well with any bottles.

I have yet to encounter a wine bottle that these pourers don't work with. They pour nicely, I've never had a drip, and the stoppers fit snugly.

We first found them in a wine shop and bought them, then could never find them in stores again, so we've bought a few pair through Amazon. We have six of the pourers and have bought several more as gifts.
