Impressive Knowlege Base - but a little Lofty for the student,

This review is from: The Profession and Practice of Adult Education: An Introduction (Paperback)
I purchased this book for a graduate course in post-secondary education. The book is very well written and the authors obviously know their field. However, so far the book feels hurried. The authors only touch on complex ideals without explaining them. The theories of adult education are many and varied and need a more thourough description than these authors afford them. For the new student, this book leaves one feeling confused and rushed. As a student, I'm not very impressed with it's content.

This book has good information, but it is somewhat tedious in that the information is not necessarily presented in an engaging fashion.

I needed this book for an online course. It was interesting that this book could spur so many new ideas that I have now. I learned that many historical figures that I have admired as authors, performers, and scientists, could be adult educators because of the stances to think, to change, and to influence others in society.

I used this as a textbook in an adult education class. I really enjoyed the text. The chapters brought adult education to a new light & was very interesting.

The textbook, The Profession and Practice of Adult Education: An Introduction, was sent to me promptly and was in new condition. I also appreciate the opportunity to purchase the online version of the book. That has been very helpful.
