Funny, intellectual satire - exceptional PUA advice,
This review is from: The Professional Bachelor Dating Guide - How to Exploit Her Inner Psycho (Paperback)
An extensive formula for speed seduction and relationship dynamics. Covers social marketing, persuasion and influence, creating value/scarcity, building emotional connections, personality behavioral analysis, targeted role-playing, projecting charisma/presence, body language, timing, and much more.
For those who've take self-improvement/business marketing, this will be a nice refresher course with some added insights. In summation, you'll learn how to create a more attractive you, how to crack barriers and build a warm rapport, how to observe and predict behavior, and subconsciously connect more in conversation. I`d actually classify this book as far more than the typical nightclub pickup guide. It goes way beyond that, more into the post hookup and relationship level. It's an introspective psychology tool for identifying the right personality match, maintaining healthy interaction, as well as a guide for recognizing problem situations early and avoiding getting trapped. Whether single, engaged or married, anyone can benefit from the advice. Tate clearly wrote this for the lifetime bachelor. If you are in the back of your mind considering marriage, section two covers setting up asset shelters. It covers all the different formulas available; concise, but somewhat complex asset protection tutorials. As a small business owner, I set mine up a few years back and am very familiar with the process and terminology. I had my attorney skim through the pages to see if I needed to add any additional provisions that Tate proposes, but came out fine. For real estate investors, of importance, pg. 232 references an important change - see the Albright 291 bankruptcy Rptr 538 ruling. LLC's need to be multi-member from now on. Tate's main theme for this section is to highly encourage men to set up shelters even before engagement, as a self-defense shield against the potential of a girl marrying money with the intent to divorce in a few years. I must say the concept is brilliant. Divorce rate is 50%+, so the advice is invaluable. Best offense is a good defense. The last 60 pages are a bachelor's guide to vacationing in Rio de Janeiro, Costa Rica, and Thailand. Heavy on details from logistics, tourism advice, sports options(extreme sports, golf, fishing, etc); the best beaches, hotels, as well as pointing you to all the night clubs and easy hookup chica hotspots that hotel concierge's are clueless about. I've been to Brazil and Costa Rica before, and can vouch the advice is spot on. If you haven't been to Rio, it's a must! A fascinating section to read, and definitely a point-and-click time savor for the best itinerary during limited vacation time. Turns out Costa Rica has all kinds of extreme rafting, rapelling, and zip lining that I missed out on; great sail fishing there by the way. Overall, I'd say the Professional Bachelor is a highly recommended read. Only negative, at 300 pages the editor should have trimmed it down, and tightened up the text a bunch; 250 pages would have been just right. This is written for guys who are already players, and written as an intellectual's satire. If your sense of humor is limited, if you're a newbie who hasn't dated dozens of women and witnessed their highly volatile nature, or if you haven't viewed advanced financial structuring, this book may go way over your head (as seen in some of the reviews). But as far as a bachelor's manual, it is a totally unique treatise and on it's own level...something you'll re-read often, and will stand the test of time. For you PUA junkies, The Professional Bachelor is probably more useful in conjunction with a book on creating openings and initial contact with women...so consider picking up The Mystery Method: How to Get Beautiful Women Into Bed . Also, get Tate's hilarious new memoir about his insane lifestyle living overseas. The title says it all. He just nails it with this book. Sex-drenched adventures filled with erotic photography and biting observation humor, with a cast of animated, flamboyant characters who push each other to edge and beyond. High Heels and Dirty Deals - Globetrotting Tales of Debauchery from a Binge-drinking Nymphomaniac

A one of a kind classic. My husband and I both teach psychology at competing Universities, and there's been quite a buzz about this book amongst the faculty, so we bought a copy. Seriously folks, all this misogynistic and manipulative talk is entirely misplaced. When you read the publisher's description and buzz words, realize that sensationalism is what sells. All the persuasion and influence books, of which there are many, use the same type of sales pitch, because it draws us in. We all try to influence the outcomes of experiences with others to our advantage, in every facet of our lives. This one makes you better at it with women, and its uses would be as effective in business. When you take away the chest pounding and witty shock value, this book is about creating opportunities with the right women, and avoiding the nightmares of dating the wrong ones. The author obviously has a background in psychology, and provides very introspective and effective Alpha male self-improvement advice. As far as imaginative interpersonal relationship tips for you players, this covers multiple areas to make you great with the ladies on your terms. It shows how to shape womens' attitudes, feelings, emotions and behavior towards you. It teaches how to create sexual chemistry and be likeable, how to get the upper hand and steer the encounter (like salsa dancing, women want the man who can lead), and how to upper hand in difficult situations and avoid being manipulated. Women prefer a man who doesn't get tongue-tied and stumble all over himself at all the wrong moments. This book teaches men panache; how to enhance their ability to carry themselves with confidence and attitude, and how to charm and be smooth with the ladies, ala James Bond. This would mean a well-dressed, classy, guy with charisma who knows exactly how say the right thing at any given moment, creating subconscious emotional and physical attraction. Any women would admit (to other women) the information is very accurate, after all, the author tells you upfront in his discovery phase that it's written from what works from a woman's point of view, as well as contains advice from male seducers.

Funny as hell; so much information in this it's almost overwhelming. Brutally honest observations about womens' agenda in dating, and uncanny psychological solutions on how to stop being played and get what you want without getting your head ripped off, manhood deflated, and wallet pick pocketed.
This came highly recommended from an old college friend of mine who I constantly make fun for working it so hard with the ladies. I mean he's read all of these PUA books. (Game, Mystery, etc) I was very cynical even opening a page; man was I wrong. It's seriously intelligent, interesting, and the author is a highly educated nut! This book is written for guys who have their act together and hook up a fair amount, but are looking for that extra edge. Excellent relationship and PUA advice, and it's all written in satire and tongue and cheek. I can't believe more people don't point how funny it is. I should mention this book is a lot of offense; but where it differs is the self-defense approach in dating. Streamlining your time. It concentrates as much time on who not to date, what not to do, as well as the ultimate defense in dating; setting up asset protection to protect yourself in divorce. The most interesting section was the psychoanalysis of the various female personalities, and role-playing styles for approaching/dating each. It has me reliving dates with half a dozen girls, as well as half a dozen I didn't want to date, but couldn't get rid of. He has a very dry, witty way of making you think, and seeing your mistakes from the past and what to do in the future. Girls all have some type of wall they put up. It's strange; they are so programmed with their you-go-grrl childish nonsense of blowing out guys. Even the men they are very attracted to rarely get anywhere unless the girl is in the mood. (or trying to show off to her posse). I realize it is just hiding from their insecurity, but men could sure use advice on dealing with this obstacle. The book gives great tips into creating these openings, by paying attention to her personality type, and role-playing to her style, as opposed to treating all girls the same. I'm now able to get past the wall much easier and am closing like a champ. Plus, it's such a confidence booster now that I have that added intellectual edge, I find the success attitude just feeds on itself. By knowing who to date and not to date, I eliminate all those worthless dates. More importantly, I never get trapped in relationships I can't get out of, because I know better than to get involved in them in the first place. I don't put so much pressure on myself now, and the "whatever" attitude is attracting them like flies. It's nice to be in control.

For guys who already have game, this is a thinking man's lifestyle guide to analyzing and pursuing women without ever getting played or manipulated again. Advice for the step beyond one-night stands. Overall it's a nice treatise and refresher course for self-improvement, attitude, and achieving relationship goals. Judging from the writing it's obvious the author has played women of all stripes innumerable times, from the sweethearts to the catastrophes. Utilizing psychoanalysis, he explains the angles for reading, creating an emotional connection, and seducing each personality of women. Focus is on dating the right personality type, and making sure she displays the healthy characteristics and not the self-destructive/me-first traits. His financial protection advice comes into play here as well, taking your self-protection to the ultimate level, in case she becomes a complete disaster. Better safe than sorry.
I had a serious déjà vu moment reading this. Tate reminds me of this crazy psychologist club dude I knew years ago; he was just as cynical, witty and smart as the author. His career gave him such a mental edge working women. He'd go out Friday night to an upscale 5 star hotel lobby bar in a suit picking up high class 9's, and the next night hit grunge metal bars in fatigues, shades and spiked hair picking up sorority babes. Clubbing for him was like Halloween every night, between the role-playing, look and approaches. There are tons of insights in this book that sound like exact quotes from my buddy. It's all one big mind game to these guys. They knowing how the end game will play out before it begins; knowing when to bail....and they always win. Just like this author, he could point out any girl in a club and tell you her life story, all her preferences in life, the perfect approach, and why dating her would or wouldn't work out. I'd approach and test his theories and he just nailed it every time. If you want to learn that kind of stuff, to have laser vision for the easy girls and how to spot, pursue or avoid the high maintenance babes to the crazies, this psychology manual is a must for the arsenal.

Self-help & Guide to Debauchery,
By The JuRK (Our Vast, Cultural Desert) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Professional Bachelor Dating Guide - How to Exploit Her Inner Psycho (Paperback)
The first section of this book is a very practical guide for men on how they should behave to attract women. The only advice/order I ever received was "Don't knock anyone up and bring them here," so I was grateful to read something more in this increasingly hostile battle of the sexes.
The middle part lagged for me since it went into great detail about the different types of women and how to seduce them. The financial section, which had some very good points about Asset Protection, was also bogged down by excessive details best handled by attorneys or financial planners. (I doubt that most men reading this book are in the tax bracket that would make such measures necessary: men with money don't have trouble attracting women). The last part was perhaps the most eye-opening. By the end, after learning how to approach, exploit, seduce and abandon women--as well as hang on to everything you own--you can learn about where to go to completely use women as total sex objects. In this book, it focuses on Rio in Brazil, Bangkok, Thailand and San Jose in Costa Rica. Yikes. Some good info here. And some a little questionable. The humorous tone would come and go and the book is rife with typos and mistakes. I'm used to circling one or two in the most professional of books sometimes but often I was finding three or four per page. (Also, a "segue" is a smooth transiton from one topic to another while a "Segway" is a two-wheeled transportation device). "Offend her, and she knows not to forive; Oblige her, and she'll hate you while you live" is attributed to two different people on two different pages: English poet Abraham Cowley (1618-1667) on page 145 and Alexander Pope on page 166. Still, I would recommend it for the Nice Guy who's been dumped on enough times. This world and particularly the modern women in it are not very kind to the Nice Guys these days.

Besides excellent and funny relationship advice, this book includes an asset protection advice for setting your finances straight long before marriage. Very detailed, provides every type of shelter, which assets belong where, what they will and won't protect; also how to set them up, costs, advantages and disadvantages. I found this chapter to be invaluable. Asset protection was something I've been considering for years and didn't know how to go about getting started. It requires several readings to figure out the financial language and options.
The dating tips are spot on, written tongue in cheek by a psychologist who's obviously been around the block and is a great cynical writer; great techniques of predicting female behavior and seducing them. For contemporary writers with cajones, this guide will be right up your alley. Really funny insights and advice regarding the game, relationships, marriage and feminism. Alpha male advice that any guy can benefit from.

The reason I bought this book was for the second half of the title "How to Exploit Her Inner Psycho". When I bought it I thougt the book would be more entertainment factor than actual useful data. I was half right.
I got through the first couple chapters of the book and laughed myself silly and thought the following. 1) Man this guy really has alot of gender rants against the fairer gender. 2) And I cant seem to disagree with him on any front. That is truly the scary part. Based on the fact that the whole point is to try to figure out how to go out and find what you want, obtain what you want, and protect your own psyche and resources while doing it. It seems that the book makes the case that its a losing cause. There is one chapter where in order to recharge your psyche you actually have to get outside of the country to find women who provide a more positive experience. That is a really depressing conclusion to have to come to. Cant argue with it which is even more depressing. The section on classifying women I found a must have. I had my own mental check list, which after reading the one in this book I found mine totally inadequate. This one definitely helps you to assess, and guage whether the target is even worth the effort, and end result. (I can definitely say that from what I have seen, many of the classifications are dead on) Protecting your assets is the first time I have ever heard of this topic. Also worth the cost of the book. So I would say that if you approach this book as an entertaining read to get by the depressing elements of what he communicates. You stand a better chance of gleaning what the deeper down value of this book actually is.

A very intuitive and funny guide for persuasion and influence techniques with women in new relationships. Also a complete alpha handbook for speed seduction in prowling the singles scene. 300 pages of material, and filled with hilarious observation humor. Fascinating psychoanalytical analysis for understanding what makes each female personality tick; marketing advice to appeal to each styles wants and needs.
Self-improvement tips for internal focus, making yourself more attractive to women. Approaches; an attitude primer and conversation guide (reframe problems into positives, avoid questions - make light, descriptive statements that create emotions - elicit further conversation - create comfort zone). Tailored for seducing any personality. Too many sections to list; even has an in-depth guide for setting up asset protection pre-marriage. His points are purposely provocative and tongue and cheek; but it is light reading, and he is usually spot on in telling it like it is. Numerous highlighted and underlined sections to read again.

Great book. If you love advice mixed with satire, this guide will have you laughing. Tate is cynically witty and brutally honest. He knows female psychology inside out. This book excels at handling womens' illogical to emotionally irrational personality traits, seeing through the games and always having the upper hand in relationships.
Most of these books assume one size fits all blueprint. Not true in the real world. He takes apart each personality and advises what works, what doesn`t based on their desires. Plenty of self-improvement advise, and persuasion conservation tips. Written for guys who've already been around the block to the point of being a bit of cynical at needing to play the game.

If you have read any of the other "Pick up" artists books, you will immediately realize that your seeing the same old routines/patterens being up-chucked again by this author. pretending to be original, i.e. (unpredictability, alpha posturing, cocky-funny etc,,,David DeAngelo-Mystery method Ross Jeffreries etc.) In fairness, the section on protecting your assets is decent. The rest of the book is nothing more than a adololescent rant about women and a amateur mix of pop psychology trying to classify disfunctional women to "avoid". The overall theme of the book is that most women are all basically out there to rip off men and the author whines and rants throughout the book about the women chizzlers. In reality, Of course, there is a segment of women in our society that this is true. What you fear-you attract. Overall, this book would appeal to a low-status male that has none, or limited success with women, hoping to find some kind of magical fix. There are much better books on the subject, such as the original authors work that this author ripped off. Overall-a worthless book.
