3.0 out of 5 stars Works Fairly Well, January 2, 2009

This review is from: Professional Global Atomic Travel Alarm Clock Digital Multi Band World Radio Controlled w/ Integrated Protective Pouch Case (Electronics)
Had this product for over a year now. It keeps time and the alarm goes off when it is supposed to. Alarm seems loud enough for me. Mostly I use it to figure out the temperature in my hotel room with "colder - warmer" dials.

Two issues have bugged me though. First, it is not uncommon to pull it out of my luggage to find the batter case open and the battery partly out. This means resetting the clock, something I wanted to avoid with a radio controlled clock. Setting it is easy enough if I can remember what the non-intuitive buttons actually do.

The second I had this year when it refused to go to the correct hour for the time zone until after five or six hours. That means, I would set the clock to the correct time zone, it would read one hour off. I corrected it using the non-intuitive buttons. Sometime in the middle of the night, it would finally synch itself and now, because of my manual correction, be an hour off. It seemed to do this mostly around the transition from daylight to standard time.

I did have one interesting moment when TSA pulled it out of my bag since is had, "wires, a timer, and a radio." They almost didn't let it through since there is NO company name, where it was made, etc. on the device.
