Using either the HP 17BII or HP 19BII with my appraisal SOLVE equations you will be able to perform an income property appraisal problem in a few seconds. These same kinds of problems could take hours to perform in a typical classroom setting. This book is loaded with real-world real estate SOLVE equations, equations which admittedly took me a solid year to design, proof and perfect. These SOLVE equations all work the same in both the HP 19BII and the HP 17BII. I cover 18 SOLVE equations, ranging from home buyer income qualification to lease analysis to advanced income property appraisal equations which handle income and expense streams varying at different rates per year.
Next, time value of money discussions are the same no matter whether a book is dedicated to the HP 17BII or the HP 19BII; it's all the same. In this regard, this book it totally compatible for users of the HP 19BII. The major difference HP 19BII users will find is that I am not showing your 3-line display in this book. Secondly, there are minor differences in the keystroke procedures when computing internal rate of return and net present value (you have 2 less keystrokes). Finally, HP 19BII menu-labels are often one character longer than those that will be shown for the HP 17BII; this is admittedly somewhat of an advantage but surely does not impact compatibility. Putting it on a scale of 0 to 100, in my opinion, for the topics I address in this book, the book is well over 99% compatible for users of the HP 19BII.
