I actually thought I was buying a wider hanger for dress shirts. It turns out that it is just as wide as some of my other regular hangers. I could have done without this purchase. You don't need to purchase this hanger specifically for steamers. You can use a regular hanger for the job. It is unfortunate that I was taken by its description. No big deal though. I use it for my dress slacks.
